Life is normal for Ruby in the pretty, rural jungle. She plays with her sister. She helps her mother cook. But her heart weighs heavy with grief when a deadly virus plagues her father, forcing her to go hunting without him. Hope seems lost, and Ruby shuns all beckons that Jesus is good, even when her sister finds a mysterious book about him. But when her father's condition worsens, she finds herself on a mission to find an American doctor abiding in a tree fort. The trek is difficult. Wildlife isn't helping. Ruby and her sister are chased by angry gorillas who seem to be upset she killed one of theirs. To make matters worse, a raging river and sucking mud is dividing them from their destination. Ruby's sister becomes her top priority when a deadly anaconda separates the two. And even though she tries to ignore it, someone seems to be watching them. Protecting them. Maybe her doubts about Jesus were wrong. And maybe she needs him more than she thinks. Especially, if he can help her survive the jungle and get the medicine back home.
