In this sequel to the 2009 movie Obsessed, Sharon (played by Beyoncé) and Derek (played by Idris Elba) are now divorced but co-parenting their 17-year-old son, Kyle. Derek is remarried with a baby on the way, while Sharon is single, successful, and close to her son. When Sharon reluctantly attends a dating event, she meets Y/N, a striking woman with masculine features, and they begin a relationship. However, their budding romance is threatened when Sharon encounters Lisa, the obsessed woman from the past who was presumed dead. It is revealed that Lisa, now going by the name Samantha, is Y/N's ex. As Lisa's obsession resurfaces, Sharon and Y/N must confront the danger together, leading to a dramatic and emotional conclusion.
