Amid this turmoil, a love story unfolds between two young people from opposite sides of the social and political. Emilia Santos a 19 years old student at the University of the Philippines, Emilia is passionate, brave, and driven by a strong sense of justice. She's an active member of an underground movement fighting against the oppression of Martial Law. at first she doesn't care about the martial law until her father, a journalist, was imprisoned for speaking out against the regime, fueling her desire to fight for freedom and give a justice for her father. Emanuel Vilasco, the 21-year-old son of a powerful senator who supports the Marcos regime. Emanuel is used to a life of privilege, unaware of the struggles of the common people outside the mansion where's he lives. Her father is one of the key political figures backing Martial Law, making the Velasco family influential and protected. Emilia and Emanuel paths cross unexpectedly when Emilia activist group targets Emanuel father's political rally to spread awareness about the government's human rights violations. Emanuel transformation from an clueless rich kid to a activists of the cause begins as he learns more about the abuses under Martial Law when he knows Emilia struggle under the presidency of Ferdinand Marcos.
