Volume 3.5 / 6 (Current Version: Prototype - Version 1.0) (Status: In Production) This story/fanfiction is a 'what if scenario' within the Sci-Fi videogame series known as Halo and is based on the legendary and hyper-lethal Noble 6/Spartan B-312 and his outcome after the end of Halo Reach, essentially surviving after the fall of the planet and his comrades that is Noble Team. (Canonically he is considered dead or MIA) In this story, it takes place after the events of Halo 3 going to Halo 4. Noble 6 and Echo 5 had left Reach mysteriously by ONI, and is reintegrated into the UNSC/ONI forces. After the Human/Covenant War had officially ended in 2553, the duo will be apart of a reactivated program by ONI, known as Project Freelancer. To help lead the way on the reconstruction efforts and safety throughout human territory. (And even go on convert missions against a resurfacing Insurrectionist movement and classified tests in the process as well.) The story is a 'reimagining' of Halo and is non-canon and is to be not taken seriously as this was an idea created back when I first played the games. The Ghosts of War is a prequel and pilot of my main series known as 'Halo Battle Buddies' and will lead up to the first book on where Halo Combat Evolved takes place. Every year on September 14, India observes Hindi Diwas, a day dedicated to recognizing the importance of Hindi and its place in the country's history and culture. The date is significant because on September 14, 1949, the Constituent Assembly adopted Hindi in the Devanagari script as the official language of the Union. The decision later became part of Article 343 of the Indian Constitution. In 2026, Hindi Diwas falls on Monday, September 14, and institutions across India are expected to mark the occasion through various language and cultural activities. What Makes September 14 Special? When India's Constitution was being prepared, the question of language was one of the important issues discussed by the Constituent Assembly. India was, and remains, a country with a remarkable variety of languages. Many members supported Hindi because it was spoken by a large population and was seen as a possible means of communication between different regions. At the same time, representatives from several linguistic communities had concerns about giving one language a dominant position. After extensive discussions, the Assembly reached an agreement. Hindi in the Devanagari script was selected as the official language of the Union, while English was allowed to continue for official purposes during a transitional period. The Beginning of Hindi Diwas India started observing Hindi Diwas in 1953. Since then, September 14 has become an annual occasion for celebrating Hindi and encouraging its use. The date also has an association with Beohar Rajendra Simha, a prominent advocate of Hindi whose birthday falls on September 14. His contribution is often remembered while discussing the history of the Hindi movement. Over the years, Hindi Diwas has grown into a wider programme rather than being limited to one day's celebrations. One reflects on his past, refusing to look at his future. 4 years after the events of Halo 3, once more humanity is at war with fundamentalist remnants of their alien rival, the Covenant. Critically damaged, the UNSC Houston uncovers another Halo ring, untouched and fully operational. Able to rally a small fleet of leftovers and two Spartan Teams, the humans find themselves in a war of attrition, fighting to ensure that this weapon of mass destruction doesn't fall into the wrong hands. The Spartans must face trial after trial, confronting what it means to be leaders, soldiers, and at their cores: humans. Every man and woman that fights in this ring will not come out the same, or even come out at all. To all of them, this ring will be their gauntlet. I do not own the Halo intellectual property, all ownership goes to Microsoft and 343 Industries.
