Nobody knows who she really is. They call her the Westbury faery. There's not much to say about her. Nobody knows where she came from or why she ever comes. Only a few have seen her and they weren't even sure if what they saw was real. Well that was until Rose Green went for a hike in the forest wandering wherever.

A strange insect, a famine, and a woman whose life was short but most peculiar. A short story about finding what you don't expect, and tales you would't have believed. My entry to the Westbury Faery. I hope you like it and look forward to your opinions ;)

The Westbury Faery may not be as kind and loving as people anticipate. In addition to being a beautiful beacon of worship in the Westbury Forest, she is also a trickster and thief. Her mysterious aura has yet to be broken, but there may be only a matter of time before people learn of her true intentions.

Fairies aren't real. They're something that exists in the minds of children or madmen. Right? Not anymore. There was always something strange about Westbury. It was one of those towns that always had a magical feel to it. This is the version of the story I originally wrote, to any who might be interested, which had to be cut down in order to fit within the guidelines of the contest it was being entered in.

These are my stories for the assignments and prompts, as said in the name. Inclusive are "Teen Programme," which was awarded a spot on the LGBTQ+ Sun-kissed anthology, and "Merged," which got into the top 100.

The truth of who the Wesbury faery really is...

Perhaps you've heard rumors of the Westbury Faery. Until the recent uncovering of incredible clues relating to her story, rumors were all there were. As researchers and historians have revealed her tale, I have focused instead on the time before she became the infamous creature, the time prior to her dangerous adventures: her sickness, trials, and abandonment. Think of it as... a prequel. A record of her change, transcending her devastating fate. The awesome amount of foreshadowing in her young adult life is truly amazing. It makes one think hard about one's own life, and of what signs of the future are hiding in plain sight.

Willow and her grandfather Arthur Beck have been frantically searching for the Westbury Faery since the arrival of a mysterious box, anonymously sent to the World Faery Society. When a mysterious stranger arrives claiming to have information on who sent it, they may be closer than ever to learning the truth about the Westbury Faery. Word Count: 1886
