"fine."

"i cooked this meal." jaemin said.

"how am i supposed to know that?" mark asked.

jaemin didn't know how to prove himself because he didn't have any memories with mark because he hates him.

while jaemin thought of something, haechan suddenly spoke.

"october 28th 2018. our anniversary, you bought us silver rings and you brought me a camera because you knew i had potential in taking photos. i never realized that until you told me. and you said, i can't promise to love you to the moon and back-"

"or kiss you under the mistletoe every christmas day or bring you to fancy places. but i can promise to hold you and cherish you until i can." mark continued.

renjun raised a brow and looked at mark and haechan whose eyes are glued to each other.

"how about you just kiss?" renjun said in an annoyed tone.

jaemin was caught off guard, not knowing his best friend gets jealous easily.

"anyways, do you believe us now?" jaemin asked.

"yeah," mark said, eyes still glued to donghyuck's.

donghyuck looked away, stopping himself. he knew he'll end up getting hurt if he continues to look into mark's eyes.

mark's eyes are one of the most dangerous things mark owns.

after eating, renjun suddenly felt the need to drink so he went out to buy drinks with jaemin. not knowing that it would be the worst decisions he ever made.

"haechan, don't knock things over while i'm gone." jaemin bid goodbye to his brother who was seated on their couch.

"and you. don't make stupid things while i'm gone. or i'll beat the shit out of you." renjun said to mark, in which mark just nodded out of fear.

five minutes had passed and nobody was talking. there was an awkward atmosphere that surrounded them.

haechan wanted to know what mark was doing because he had been using his phone but he didn't know how.

until haechan put his phone down naturally and casually gave mark a glance only to find out that mark had been looking back at him for some time already.

"i knew it." mark said who was sitting in front of haechan and sat beside him.

haechan was surprised by mark's sudden action so he moved backwards, holding on the hard part of the couch.

"w-what are you talking about?" haechan asked.

"i knew you wanted to look at me, too. don't you? am i not right?" mark asked as he slowly leaned on haechan.

haechan moved backwards as he did so and nervously said, "n-no. i-it's a coincidence."

"oh, is it now?" mark asked and raised a brow and put his arms on both of haechan's sides to stop him escaping as mark leaned closer to him.

"you still love me don't, you?" mark said in a serious tone.

haechan didn't respond. as he was bad at lying.

mark leaned closer and closer as haechan moved backwards until he felt the couch fully on his back.

mark removed the space between them and haechan closed his eyes as mark's lips touched his own.

as haechan felt his lips, he pushed mark away and said, "mark, no. w-we can't. you're my the boyfriend of my brother's best friend. no. i can't, i'm sorry," haechan said.

at the same time jaemin and renjun arrived from the convenience store.

renjun looked at both of them strangely and just went with it as he put the drinks on the table.

haechan avoided renjun as he noticed a sudden change on his face, more like jaemin's face.

jaemin never had a lot of moles on his face originally but haechan does. he noticed that the moles that came from his own face was now on jaemin's.

"jaemin, come here. QUICKLY." haechan called for his brother.

haechan noticed that the moles from his original face, which jaemin currently has was gone.

"you're not wearing any makeup right now, are you?"

"what kind of question is that, donghyuck? of course not."

"weird." he uttered.
