while they were walking hand in hand, jaemin suddenly heard his name being called.

"jaemin."

jaemin stopped walking and looked at jeno like he saw a ghost.

"what? why? is something wrong?" jeno asked.

"no, i'm just suprised you called me by—"

"what are you talking about hyuck? i didn't call you."

jaemin frowned, "y-you... you didn't call me? just now?"

"no! why would i call you in the middle of me talking about that sausage that i ate last week that made my stomach upset?"

"but you just called me... jaemin..."

jeno frowned.

"why would i do that?" jeno asked.

"but you did..."

"i really, really did not, hyuck." jeno said, his voice getting more serious.

jaemin was surprised to see jeno this way. he had never heard nor seen jeno having this kind of look and tone before. it kinda scared jaemin. the last thing he wanted to see jeno doing was being disappointed or mad at him.

jaemin was about to open his mouth and apologize and clear everything off but jeno started talking again, his expression still not changing.

"are we going to have this conversation again, lee donghyuck? how many times do i have to tell you that jaemin is not my priority anymore? i love you now. he's not here right now is he? so why are you getting so worried? i will never do that, okay? i love you." jeno said holding jaemin's hand.

jaemin could feel calm with those comforting words he just said, if he was donghyuck. but he wasn't so it hurt him so bad he felt like crying. the guy he'd been crying and searching for all these years is finally with him again, but doesn't want to be with him because he's not the guy he think he is.

jaemin tried to hold it all in, "c-can i go to the bathroom?"

"i'll come with— are you crying—"

"no it's fine! i can go on my own. and no, of course i'm not." he chuckled and went to the bathroom.

when he's out of jeno's sight, he ran to the bathroom and cried in one of the stalls.

the bathroom was surprisingly empty despite how crowded the amusement park is.

after some time, jaemin heard his name being called one more time. with the same voice and the same tone.

he got scared, so he said, "WHO'S THERE? WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!"

no response, he peeked underneath and nobody's there. his heart is pounding from his chest and he couldn't breathe properly. good thing his brother is healthy as a horse because if he was in his own body, he's already on the floor.

he slowly opened the bathroom stall and peeked to see if someone's out there. there really is no one, but what happened next made him scream.
