kei groaned as he heard his phone buzz from his pocket, quickly swiping unlock and scanning the multiple messages that had been spammed in his team's volleyball groupchat.

studying for his upcoming finals completely left his mind as it wandered off to ushijima and y/n. the thought of them two had been circling his mind since he had read their texts.

ignoring the fact that the two hadn't spoken to each other in a very long time, his insecurities bubbled up inside him, clouding his mind making his actions very irrational. he had been ignoring y/n, which was probably not the best, now knowing that other guys were also waiting for her to become available, but he couldn't help it. ignoring this and acting like nothing was bothering him is what he does best. or so he thinks.
