"do you think he'll be back any time soon?" chenle asked, looking between jeno and nayeon.
"we can hope. right now the best thing we can do for him is to make sure he gets everything he needs like food or his school work. i'm gonna pick up his schoolwork later today after last class."
jisung swallowed his rice and took a sip of his drink, "can we still see him after school? or did he say anything about wanting to be alone?"
jeno shrugged, "i'll text him."

the group continued their school day, as usual, each of them waiting patiently to accompany their hurt friend with hugs.
the group of eight had always been very affectionate with one another- their parents each teaching them that love and comfort were key factors someone always needed in their personalities.
not a day went by where they'd be together and someone would miss their hug. everyone got one hug at some point.
they always thought that if they'd hug and hang out or call they'd be together forever- peace coming to mind when they thought about relying on each other.
they'd never split up. they're more than just best friends. they're practically soulmates.
within the group, both romantic and platonic soulmates. jeno and nayeon as well as jaemin and jiyoung as romantic soulmates while everyone else connected as platonic soulmates.
without each other, they would suffer- just like they are now without jiyoung. she was also a piece of their soulmate bond now. it was incredible how close she had managed to get to them in such a short time.
remarkable, really.
time passed until it was finally time for school to end.
jaemin stayed sat on the couch with a blanket wrapped around his body to hold in the heat. he watched the tv with boredom until hearing the doorbell ring.
he pondered as he stood up, "why would they ring the doorbell instead of just coming inside?"
his question answered itself as he pulled open the door, a face smiling up at him with evil written inside.
"what are you doing here?"
soojin giggled, pushing him inside and closing the door behind herself. "i'd have thought my boyfriend would be more welcoming when i came over."
jaemin scoffed, "i ended things already. now if you will, please leave."
soojin hummed lowly as she rolled her eyes and took a seat on the couch. "ah, right. you've broken up with me for that little she-devil, jiyoung. i never could understand what any of you saw in her."
"what do you want soojin? i'm tired of you trying to play charades every time you want something." jaemin said, annoyed.
"ah well you see, my dearest. i've come to take back my rightful spot as your girlfriend. without that little jiyoung running around you all, i can finally get my seat back."
"what are you talking about? you've been gone for a month and a half in japan. how do you know jiyoung's missing?"
soojin smiled up at him again, "that's none of your business. all that matters is that you become my boyfriend again and we go back to the old routine or i make her suffer."
like yeah she gone mess with your head
oh yeah and she'll flirt with your friends oh yeah
make you wish you were dead
every time she moves on she says
don't take it personal━ personal, hrvy
i changed the format of the book again 😭
