"dude, your house is huge."
jiyoung gawked at the sight in front of her, utterly amazed at the size of the chinese boy's house.
"it's not even that big," jaemin muttered, pushing past her, making sure to hit her a bit hard. soojin was under his right arm and made sure to turn to jiyoung with a smile.
almost as if she was mocking her.
"don't mind him, he's a big baby. but thanks, my parents help me out with it while they still live in china with my big sister," renjun smiled.
"dude, you're out of ice cream!" nayeon shouted from inside already.
as soon as they arrived she marched inside as if it were her own. yet no one batted an eyelid. jiyoung assumed it happened quite often.
"she makes herself at home rather quickly, doesn't she?" jiyoung chuckled to herself, following renjun inside.
"most definitely," renjun nodded, closing the door behind her.
the two chatted among themselves as they made their way to the living room where everyone else was sat in, doing different things.
somehow jiyoung had been swept away by the amount of fun radiating off of her new friends that she hadn't even noticed the time.
it was already dark out and the street lamp posts decorated the sides of each rode, making sure to illuminate the space for drivers.
everyone began leaving one by one until it was only renjun, jeno, nayeon, and jiyoung. the three friends took it upon themselves to question the girl- or at least the couple had since renjun fell asleep on the couch while hugging a pillow.
"so how was your first hangout session?" jeno asked tiredly, his right arm wrapped around nayeon's shoulders and pulling her close.
jiyoung pondered for a second, thinking about how exactly she could word her newfound happiness.
"it was fun. i hadn't ever done anything like this back home," she admitted carelessly, running a hand through her hair.
nayeon pushed herself against jeno and sat up a bit more with wide eyes, "you've never just hung out with people for fun?"
jiyoung shook her head no, not realizing it was such a big deal until seeing nayeon's reaction.
"nope. i guess it was normal for others but i was more of an," she thought for a second to find the right word, "outcast, you could say."
"you? an outcast. how could that be?" nayeon asked, one hundred percent serious.
jiyoung giggled and shrugged her shoulders lightly, "i don't know. i guess, i was just weird or something."
she knew she was lying and coming up with excuses. it made her feel so much guilt she could feel herself starting to drown in her own lies.
but what else could she do right now? there was nothing she could say that would make sense anymore.
"oh, hey, yeah, sorry i lied to you all but my eyes are actually black and i never lived in any of the water tribes. i'm actually from the earth nation along with my father who has naturally blue eyes. i wasn't an outcast 'cause i was weird, it was because i didn't have normal eyes."
just the thought of it made her cringe. she just had to keep in it a bit longer. and besides, she had only known these people for what, four days now? she didn't even know if she could fully trust them or not.
but nevermind not knowing, she knew for a fact she would never be able to trust soojin, and honestly, jaemin was getting close up there on that list as well.
"well," nayeon began, unraveling herself from jeno and standing up to stretch, "we should get going."
jiyoung stood up afterward and stretched out her body, "what about renjun? shouldn't someone take him to his room?"
"not it!"
"not it!"jiyoung deadpanned at the couple, "i don't even know where his room is."
"second floor, third room on the right. see you later!" nayeon rushed out, giving the girl a tight hug before leaving.
jiyoung watched as she walked out of the room, leaving her, jeno, and renjun.
jeno rubbed the back of his neck curtly, "yeah, sorry about her. renjun can be a bit harder to handle when he's asleep. you gonna need any help?"
jiyoung shrugged, "it's fine. i'm tired too. you guys should be on your way."
"we'll see you tomorrow at school." jeno hugged her.
the two pulled away as nayeon came back inside to find her boyfriend and his car keys.
"hey!" she yelled out, rushing towards the two.
jiyoung looked at the girl expecting her to be mad, she had to stop herself from showing her worry at first.
"i didn't get a hug," nayeon complained, pulling the two towards one another. jiyoung smiled at the lie but ignored it.
jeno and jiyoung's heads smacked against each other on the sides, causing for them to both back away instantly and grasp their heads.
"oops, sorry." nayeon laughed cheekily, letting go of jeno's waist to pull jiyoung into a tighter hug.
"we'll see you tomorrow!"jiyoung waved goodbye to the couple and turned back to the sleeping boy.
maybe he's comfortable sleeping on the couch for one night? she thought to herself, dreading the thought of helping him up the stairs.
the sound of the back door clicking caught her attention, making her turn to face the same dead eyes and blond hair she was growing to hate.
yo jaemin is back what's he gonna do
