Ahyma sat down on a thick tree branch with an exhausted sigh. The branch trembled slightly under her careless efforts to keep herself hidden. Ahyma was exhausted from her training over the past few months, and she felt like she was getting more exhausted instead of stronger.
She wiped her sweaty brow as Ahyma leaned her sore back against the tree. Even though it was the middle of the day, Ahyma closed her eyes in an effort to catch some sleep so she could possibly train under the glow of the moon. However, before sleep could take over, a loud yelp caused Ahyma's eyes to snap open.
Clearly on alert, Ahyma sat on her tree branch completely still. Her mind blank as she strained her ears in order to catch more noise of the possible enemy. When she didn't hear anything for a couple of minutes, Ahyma started to question if she actually heard the yelp or not.
That's when her ears caught distant talking that seemed to be coming from right below her. Ahyma quickly got on her feet and started to quietly jump down from branch to branch. Pausing every once in awhile to make sure she was still unknown to her possible enemy's.
As Ahyma got closer to the bottom of the stupidly tall tree, she heard two voices. One seemed to belong to a woman and the other to a very loud boy.
Ahyma crouched and peeked through the trees thick leaves as she could finally see and hear who the voices belonged to. She first noticed what look to be a young woman in a light pink dress, she had long black hair and dark grey eyes. She seemed to be in a conversation with a younger boy that Ahyma guessed was being the loud one. He wore a orange jumpsuit that looked oddly familiar to Ahyma, from where she was positioned. She couldn't see the boys face or eyes, all she could see of him was blond hair poking above his blue bandana.
Ahyma watched the two as the conversation drove on for a few more minutes. Until the young lady finally stood up and grabbed her basket of handpicked wildflowers and started to walk away. But before she left the forest clearing, she said something to the boy that caused him to be extremely flustered and dumbfounded.
The woman then left the clearing and that's when Ahyma decided to make her move. She couldn't stop thinking about the jumpsuit the boy was wearing and how familiar it looked to her.
Ahyma gathered the strength in her legs before pushing herself off the branch. She soared through the air before softly landing on the ground behind the boy when didn't notice her presence.
She walked up behind the oblivious boy and looked to where the woman disappeared from.
Who was she?
Ahyma took a deep breath before breaking the silence,
"Did you know that young lady?"The boy let out a startled screech before whipping around to face Ahyma. The boys wide blue eyes stared into Ahymas calm green ones. His mouth moved but nothing came out of it, he was clearly still stunned as to Ahymas sudden presence and how he didn't hear her approach.
Ahyma sighed as she repeated herself,
"Do you know that girl?"The boy continued to stare at Ahyma without an answer to her question. Her patience starting to thin as she repeated herself,
"Cat got your tongue?"
"JUST WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!?" The boy loudly blurted out at Ahyma which stunned her for a few seconds.
"Not the answer I was looking for, but we all have to start somewhere right?" Ahyma sighed while rubbing her face with her hand.
