The Kiss

I woke up early hearing Austin calling my name. I ran into his room and asked him what was wrong. He was in his little bed with the covers over his head and he told me he had a nightmare. He also said the thunder scared him. It was raining outside. I look at the clock and it was 4:39 in the morning. I walked to his bed and I got under the covers with him. "Shhh, go to sleep it's really early." "Kendall will you stway wif me?" He asked. "Sure honey, just go to bed." He snuggled up against me and I wrapped us into the blanket. This happened sometimes so I was used to it. Sometimes I would bring him into my room. I felt my eyes drowsing and I fell asleep.

I woke up and carefully got out of Austin's bed. Boys are so cute when they sleep. It was 7 and my mom was up. "Hey mom" I said. "Morning honey, how did you sleep?" "Austin had another nightmare, so I stayed with him." "Aww again?" I nodded sitting down and eating a muffin. "Mom, I'm going over to my friend Caiden's house after shopping around 2 to 5. We're going to work on our biology project." "Okay honey, ill drop you off then. Just make sure you keep me updated." Okay mom.

I ran upstairs and I put on a black with yellow emoji shirt, with dark blue jeans and my flats. I left my hair down with my bangs pulled back in bobby pins. I grabbed my phone and my backpack and we drove to Wal-Mart.

When we got there it was crowded, and Austin wanted to go see the Lego™ section. I let my mom shop and I took him to the section. He looked for new things and I told him to look for what he wanted. I would buy it for him then. Hey, I had $30, so why couldn't I spend some? Especially on my little brother. I mean come on, he's so frickin adorable. "Kendie, I can't swee the top shelwf." He said. I picked him up and he looked and saw a police car kit and pulled it off the wall. Can I have it Kendie? Pweeeaasee!" He begged. I looked at the price. $12.95. "Sure honey. Ill buy it for you." He smiled and said yay running out of the section. Other people smiled and I smiled back. I ran after him and made him hold my hand and we walked to over to the counter where my mom was. "Mom, I'll pay for this." She nodded and smiled. I love spoiling my little brother. She paid for her stuff and I took a Baby Lips and payed for both. I handed Austin the bag and he cheered. "Now don't open it in the car now, wait until you get home. When Kendall comes home she'll help you build it okay?" My mom told him as we got into the car. He nodded and just started at the box. "Thank you Kendie!" He said. I kissed his nose and we drove to a diner for lunch.

Soon we we finished and went home. I pulled up the text message and pointed to the house where Caiden lived. He had a HUGE house. I saw Caiden outside playing football with some older guy and a two little girls. I got out of the car kissing my mom goodbye and walked to him. "Hey Kendall, heads up!" He said throwing the football to me hard. I caught it with my one hand and put it in my other hand. He, and his older brother stared at me. "She's better than both of us combined." His brother said. I laughed and told them I can play anything. Caiden smiled and hugged me. "Ew, you're sweaty." I said. He said, "Oh, sorry." And with that he took off his shirt. HOLY MOTHER OF ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL!! GOT DAMN HE WAS HOT! He had abs and everything! I was about to pass out. Then two little girls ran over behind him and hid behind his legs. "Guys this Kendall." He said. He also introduced me to his brother Fransisco who was 18, Kayla and Kimberly who were twins at age 8, and he had a brother who was inside the house who's name was Justin and he was only 2 years old. That explained the big house. Francisco came up to me, put his arm around me and said, "Call me Franny, and I'll call you mine." I rolled my eyes laughing while Caiden looked mad and said, "Fran, you have a girlfriend." Then he said, "Are you two dating?" We shook our heads no and he said, "Oh great because you can do so much better Kendall!" I laughed and Caiden smiled looking down.

He took me inside and introduced me to his mom. He smiled and was very friendly. They all were. I saw Justin and I said hi and he smiled. It was so cute! Then his mom started talking Spanish to Caiden and he talked back. He took me upstairs and I set my stuff down and took off my shoes. He put on a t shirt and got his stuff together. "Why are you taking Spanish 3 when you speak it?" I asked. "I'm on Spanish 37 *laughs*. Plus I'm lazy like that." He laughed. "Then why did you ask me for help?" I asked again. "Because I wanted to talk to you." He said laying his stuff down on his floor. I nodded and sat down. We worked hard for about an hour and 30 minutes when we decided to take a break.

I went to the bathroom and after I was done, I opened the door and Caiden yelled and I screamed. He starts laughing and I try to beat him up. "You tryna fight me kid?" He teased. I grabbed his arms and we stumbled into his room. He swung me around and I landed on his bed with him coming down on top of me. He started tickling me and I kept giggling and he laughed. Then we tried to calm down and take a breather. He was on my stomach holding my sides and himself up by his elbows. I blushed and looked away. He was still staring at me. I looked at him and asked him what. "I'm looking at you." He said. "Why?" I asked chuckling. "Because you're cute." Oh my . He just told me I was cute. All these thoughts rushed into my head and I asked, "You think I'm cute?" He looked away smiling and said, "That's what I just said. Why? You think I'm lying?" He got up off me and sat next to me. I sat up and said, "Well, I haven't had someone call me that since I had my last boyfriend in 5th grade." I said looking down and away. He breathed and said, "Hey, look at me." I looked at him. "I always mean what I say. When I say I love you, I mean it. And when I say you're cute, I mean it." "Your point being?" I said. "I think you're cute, and I love you." My breath hitched in my throat, my heart stopped, I couldn't move. He just said I love you to me. "You, you do?" I asked. He replied with the best reply I could ever get- he kissed me. I was surprised, but I slowly kissed back. It was perfect. He took my cheek and gently laid me down on the bed. He started to kiss me longer, and faster. I lifted my hands up to his hair and his hand traveled down my body to my side. We let go and he smiled at me. "So did that answer your question?" He asked and I laughed. "You wanna go outside and play something?" He asked. "I don't have sneakers." I said. "Dont worry about it. Our grass will hold you." He said pulling me up and taking me outside.

We played catch with the football barefoot and it was fun. Then we jumped on his trampoline. I jumped and did a flip and he did a horrible cartwheel. He landed on his back and yelled, "IM NOT THAT FLEXIBLE!" I laughed and jumped next to him. He kicked my legs and brought me down with him. We stopped jumping and just laid down together. He put his arm around me and I buried my head into his chest. We look up at the sky and he looks at me. "Kendall?" I roll over and asked what. "Do you think you would consider, maybe,going out with me? To be my girlfriend?" I smiled and said yes. He kissed my lips, and hugged me. Then we heard Francisco screaming and he jumped into the trampoline on us. Kimberly and Kayla also came and jumped in. We jumped for a while when I checked my phone and saw it was 4:50. I had to go.

When we went inside I saw my mom talking with Caiden's mom. "Oh, hi mom." I said. She smiled and I introduced Caiden to her. From what up could tell, she really liked him. Franny came in and hugged me from behind saying that we were dating. Caiden rolled his eyes and starts beating him up. Our mom's seemed to be fine with it. As long as no 'funny business' was going on. Soon I had to leave and I hugged Caiden goodbye and said goodbye to everyone else. When I got home I ate dinner and went to sleep. I had church in the morning. But a notification went off and I reached for my phone. It was Instagram, saying, " 'Caiden_Stephenson10' posted a picture of me leaning on his gate at his house and said, 'Kendall Williams and I are official. Love you so much @Kendall_Williams21. " I smiled and fell asleep.
