Before they could continue their conversation, Ji Pyeong arrived. A- Hyuk welcomed him.
"Good Morning, Eomonni!" Ji Pyeong greets.
"It's a bit too early! Aren't you too excited to see Dal Mi?" A-Hyun jokes.
"Ah! No! I am not!" Ji Pyeong tried to deny it, and he blushed.
"Hahaha! I am just joking!" A-Hyun said, having fun seeing his reaction.
A-Hyun led Ji Pyeong to the kitchen, where everybody was present.
"Good morning, Halmeonni, Dal-Mi!" Ji Pyeong greeted.
Dal Mi moved beside A-Hyun while Ji Pyeong sat beside Won-Deok. A- Hyun sets the table for Ji Pyeong. She gave him a spoon, pair of chopsticks, and a bowl with rice. Ji Pyeong thanked her.
"Good boy, why are you here this early?" Won-Deok asked.
"He's here because of Dal Mi, Halmeonni!" A-Hyun answered for Ji Pyeong.
"No! No!" Ji Pyeong vehemently denied it.
"But you said you're here to pick up Dal Mi because she left her car in your office, or Am I wrong?" A-Hyun reminded him.
Dal Mi saw how flustered Ji Pyeong so she decided to intervene.
"Eomma! Stop making him uncomfortable." Dal Mi said, and she smiled at Ji Pyeong. He smiled at her too and mouthed the word 'thank you!' Dal Mi and Ji Pyeong become close enough to understand each other in two years, even without saying a word.
*********
Dal Mi and Ji Pyeong are now headed to go to work. He takes the driver's seat while she sits in the passenger seat.
"Don't mind my mother; you know her!" Dal Mi initiated their conversation.
"It's okay! It's me that acted weird." Ji Pyeong confesses. "What she said isn't wrong! I did come for you!" Ji Pyeong added.
"I Know!" Dal Mi said.
"You know?" Ji Pyeong said in surprise.
"Yes! Aren't you coming today because I left my car in the parking lot yesterday?" Dal Mi said, but —obviously—she wanted another answer.
Ji Pyeong smirked. He had an idea of what —might— Dal Mi wanted to hear. Ji Pyeong looked at his wristwatch, "we still have time!" he said and pulled over the car at a park near Sandbox.
"I know you know the real reason," Ji Pyeong said, looking at Dal Mi.
"Ji Pyeong..."
"Am I wrong, Dal Mi? I know Do San is still there, but can't you give it a chance?"
"It'll be unfair for you, Ji Pyeong. I can't use you to forget Do San!"
"Seeing you yesterday like that because of Do-San —surely— made me realize that: you're still not over him. It also made me jealous, and you know how I hate that feeling!"
Dal-Mi sighed.
"After two years, I thought I'll be over Do-San, but I am still not. And I don't know when I'll be completely over him!"
"You can use me to forget him. After all, it's my fault why you and he met. ...the reason you're hurting like that!"
"Ji Pyeong, I'll admit that I am starting to like you, but I am— not sure— if it's strong enough to erase him from my mind! Maybe I met him through you, but my being this way is not your fault. It's me, and my heart still can't get over him! " she explained.
Ji Pyeong profoundly sighed.
"I neither want to pressure nor force you into doing things that are hard for you. You said you like me, and that's enough for me—for now!" he said.
"Thank You, Ji Pyeong...for understanding!"
He smiled at her and looked at his wristwatch; it was time for them to go to Sandbox. "Let's go now!" he said, and they drove quietly.
When they arrived at Sandbox.
A lady purposely blocked Ji Pyeong.
"Han Ji Pyeong?" she said with a big smile.
Ji Pyeong frowned as he didn't recognize the girl blocking him. "Yes! Who are you?" he asked. The girl seemed like: she expected that he would not remember her, so she introduced herself.
"It's me, Song Min Ah!—we went to the same university," she said.
"Song Min Ah?" He said, and he still couldn't remember her.
Min Ah crossed her arms and squinted her eyes, "How could you not remember me? when we spent a night together!" she teased.
Ji Pyeong blushed as the memory of her or that moment slowly returned to his mind.
"Oh yes, Min Ah! How are you?" he said with a shy smile. But before Min Ah could answer, Dal Mi interrupted them.
"Sorry! But I think I'll go ahead first," she said to both of them. "You know I still have a lot of things to do," Dal Mi said directly to Ji Pyeong.
"Oh! Sorry! This is Dal Mi, my friend" Ji Pyeong introduced Dal Mi to Min Ah.
Dal Mi shook her hand and gave her a calling card. Min Ah looked at the calling card, "You are the CEO here? Of Sandbox?" she asked Dal Mi.
"No! No! I opened a company here with the help of Sandbox," Dal Mi explained. "I see!" Min Ah said. She gave her calling card to Ji Pyeong and Dal mi too.
"I am not a CEO, but if ever you'll need medical help —which I hope you don't— just call!"
Ji Pyeong and Dal Mi looked at her calling card.
"You're a Doctor now?" he asked, and he couldn't hide that he was impressed.
"Yes, I am!" Min Ah proudly replied.
