Min-Ah was also surprised to see him, "Ji Pyeong!" she said.
Liked Ji Pyeong and Min-Ah, everyone was shocked that they knew each other.
"You two knew each other?" the Director asked.
"Yes! Min-Ah is my friend," Ji Pyeong confirmed.
"Director!" Min-Hyuk called, and everyone turned to him. He scanned Ji Pyeong from head to toe. Then he said, "We should get going!"
"Ah! Yes! Yes! Thanks for visiting us! Please come again next time," the Director said, and he bowed to him.
Min-Hyuk tilted his head, and he and Min-Jae entered the car.
"I am going with Ji Pyeong!" Min-Ah informed them.
Min-Hyuk looked unhappy, but he also couldn't oppose her —he didn't have a reason to do so, "Suit yourself!" he said. He closed their car, and they drove away.
The Director and the nun also headed back inside the orphanage, leaving Ji Pyeong and Min-Ah alone.
"I didn't know about this of you!" Ji Pyeong said suddenly to Min-Ah.
"They are many more you don't know about me!" she said, then winked.
Ji Pyeong then looked at his watch and saw that it was time for him to go to Won-Deok.
"Do you have another plan?" he asked.
"No!" she said.
"Good! Do you want to come with me?" he asked again.
"Where are we going?" she also asked.
"I told you earlier that I am going to see Halmeoni today," he said.
"Okay!" she agreed, and they walked toward his car.
Ji Pyeong opened the passenger door for her and went to the driver's seat.
While driving, Ji Pyeong initiated their conversation, "No wonder! When I saw your father earlier, he looked familiar," he said.
"Did you see my father before today?" Min-Ah curiously asked.
"Yes! I saw him with you at the launching of Mo-Mo of the Morning Group," he said casually.
She looked at him, "You saw that?" she asked as if she was guilty of something.
He nodded, "It was being broadcasted,"
She looked straight, "Oh! Well, you probably know by now that the Won and my family are closed,"
He smirked, "I already figured that out when I saw you with Sang-Su!" he paused. "But let's not talk about Morning Group!" he added.
"What do you want to talk about?" she asked.
"Your father! I mean, Mr. Min-Hyuk," he told her.
Min-Ah looked at him, "What about my dad?"
Ji Pyeong frowned, "Ahm...He is one scary man! And the way he looked at me is as if he would eat me alive," he said.
Min-Ah smiled. She was used to hearing that kind of comment from all the other male friends she [and her sister] have.
"My father is like that to all my — and my sister's male friends. But it was just his way of protecting us!" she said.
"I see! Well, I understand your dad! I mean—if my daughters are as pretty as you, I think I'll do the same," he said casually.
Min-Ah found an opportunity to tease Ji Pyeong. She squinted her eyes at him, "So, you do think I am pretty?" she teased.
Ji Pyeong didn't know what to say, "Huh?"
Min-Ah laughed, and he knew that she was teasing him.
"...But I do! I think you are pretty!" he said earnestly.
Min-Ah looked at him, "You should try harder to shut me up!" she said with a smile.
Ji Pyeong smiled at her reaction.
While Ji Pyeong was driving, Min-Ah saw a white knitted scarf —on display— in one of the boutiques they were passing. She asked him to stop the car. He stopped and curiously looked at her.
"I can't come empty-handed, you know!" Min-Ah answered his curiosity.
Ji Pyeong was smiling at her, "I didn't say anything!" he said.
Not too long, they arrived at the corndog shop of Won-Deok. When Ji Pyeong and Min-Ah entered, they saw Won-Deok sitting near the window.
"Halmeoni!" he excitedly announced his arrival and walked toward her. Min-Ah followed behind him.
"Good boy!!!" Won-Deok said. She was also excited and stood up when she heard his voice. Ji Pyeong hugged Won-Deok, and she hugged him too. She told him to sit down, but he stayed beside Min-Ah and introduced her.
"By the way, Halmeonni! I am with a friend," he told her.
Min-Ah bowed, "Hi! I am Min-Ah. It's nice to meet you, finally. I heard so much about you from Ji Pyeong," she said with a smile and handed her present to her.
Ji Pyeong helped Won-Deok to get the present, "Thank you!"
Won-Deok could tell by Min-Ah's voice that she was a pretty lady, "Nice to meet you too, Min-Ah! We should all sit down!" she said to Ji Pyeong and Min-Ah.
Then, A-Hyun came out from a door, "Ji Pyeong! You're finally here!" she greeted.
Ji Pyeong and Min-Ah stand up, "Hello, Eommoni!" Ji Pyeong said and bowed.
Then suddenly, he sat and embraced Won-Deok with all his might, "Halmeoni, I love you! I miss you so much!" he said lovingly.
Won-Deok looked at him concernedly, "Goodboy..." she said, worried about his sudden sweetness.
"What's gotten in you?" A-Hyun asked while laughing at them.
Ji Pyeong slightly released Won-Deok, "I realize that I should be more expressive of how I feel towards a person," he said and wrapped her in his arms again. Won-Deok laughed and embraced him this time.
A-Hyun smiled at the adorable sight of the two, and then her attention shifted to Min-Ah.
"Min-Ah, what are you doing here?" she asked, startled to see her.
Min-Ah kissed her on her cheeks, "Hi, Eommoni! I am with Ji Pyeong," she said.
A-Hyun looked surprised that they knew each other, "How did you know Ji Pyeong?" she asked more.
"Min-Ah is my close friend, Eommoni!" Ji Pyeong answered before Min-Ah.
