(Y/n) p.o.v
It was the 11th of November and for the free skate program. The group I'm in is the last group and the second before the last person which is fun. I came to the arena early and managed to get 6 hours of sleep, still not much for my health. I'm still sluggish and tired. I thought I could get at least 9 hours of sleep but 3 hours from reaching it. I'm starting to get worried because the jumps need to be as energetic as possible. Right now, I'm not in the mood for it. I was walking around to open my eyes a bit but, didn't seem that works. I decided to take a nap since I'm still tired from this morning and not sure why I woke up at 4 in the morning and been here until 11 in the morning.
After my 30 minutes of sleep, I saw Eleanor and waved at her. She came up to me and said excitedly, "Ready for the free skate?" I nodded and I could tell she was happy to be back on the ice. "Yup, you have everything that you need, right?" I asked and making sure. "Yup, I'm the last group and performing last I guess." I patted her back and said, "Don't be disappointed, show the people that coming back for good." She smiles and still worries about if she could be in second or third place. "Have you talked to Shoma?" I asked trying to change the subject so she can relax a bit. When I asked her about Shoma, her ears turned red. "I did, we just talked about the program. T-that's all." She replied and I could tell she was lying easily. We were walking to our changing room and while we were walking there I said, "You guys are like a perfect couple, and you want to know why?" I asked while teasing her. "What makes you say that?" She asked with hesitation if she wanted to know it or not. "Well, you both have sort of the same height. You are 5'1 and he's 5'2." She shook her head and laughed it off. "I still have time and I'm still growing." I nodded and made our destination. "What time is it?" Eleanor asked and making sure we have time. I looked at my watch and I said, "11:37" She nodded and we decided to warm-up for a bit.
(Yuzuru p.o.v)
I'm still with my injury and I can't skate for the free skate and I told the public that I won't be competing anytime soon and will focus on my health and my recovery. I was watching the Free skate to see how Javier, Shoma, (Y/n), and Eleanor will do. It was 6:15 in the evening and it's time for the last group to do their 5 minutes warm-up. I was nervous and cheering for my friends, I'm mostly nervous is for (y/n). I know she's one the best figure skating for the ladies and a lot of people called her "the figure skating queen" since she's really good at executing her jumps. It's not that I don't trust her, I trust her, and her jumps but, this time, I feel uneasy. By the tell from yesterday and her jumps for today, I feel she won't do well but, I hope she slept well for today.
It was a few minutes passed by until it was time for (Y/n) to perform. I could tell she was really nervous and was trying to calm herself down. She did manage but, not much. I wish I could tell her that she will be doing great. I was holding my hands together nervously and started off her program.
(Y/n) p.o.v
It was my turn for my free skate and the announcer said, "(Y/n) (L/n) representing the United States." I skate out and did my entrance. I took a deep breath and skate to the middle and took my position and started to skate. I started off with my skating and showing my emotions. I started to have trouble focusing on my skates and losing focus. I was almost finished and was trying to finish strong with my quad salchow with the combination of a quad toe loop. I landed it perfectly that I felt my foot was asleep a crack on my foot that was my landing. I managed to end well and bow to the crowd and everyone. I got off of the ice and Coach passed my guards and I felt my foot hurting and I managed to show that I wasn't hurt but it won't last long. We sat down and Coach Brian started the conversation, "You did well and manage to land your quad jumps." I nodded and replied, "I'm happy that I landed the combinations of the quads," he laughed and heard the announcer going to announce my scores, "(Y/n) (L/n) for the Free Skate program gets the total of 152.40 places her in first place." I smiled and we got off and went backstage. "(Y/n), show me your foot," Brian said directly and I pretended to be confused. "What do you mean?" I asked like I don't know about my injury. "(Y/n), you know well that you injured your foot while you land perfectly your jump." I sigh and the medic came to see if my foot is deeply injured or not. "Luckily it was bad, you just need to take a break for 2 weeks to be fully healed." I nodded and we went to see Eleanor Free Skate.
It was the medal ceremony and to be honest, I was proud of Eleanor and manage to be in second place from coming back. I was in first place in a total of 233.96 for the short and free combine together. I'm proud of myself but, I'm glad Eleanor and a girl named Evgenia helped me to get on the podium with my injured foot since I can't jump high. Now, it's almost for my big time, and prepare hard for the 2018 winter Olympics.
"Hey Eleanor, have you seen my phone?" I asked while searching in my bags. "No, I think you left it with yuzuru when it was our 30 minutes warm up." I sigh and Eleanor received a call from my phone. "He wants to talk to you," Eleanor said and I took a deep breath to calm down my heart beating fast. "Yuzu, have you left yet?" I asked to hope to get my phone back. "No, I'm still the hotel we're staying in, I can drop it off so you can't walk much." He replied, to be honest, I was glad I left my phone with him. "Hey (y/n), I'm going to yuzu room to pick up your phone since the both of you are injured." I laughed and we both hung up since the day after tomorrow we'll have a long flight to go back home.
Eleanor p.o.v
I knock yuzuru's room and he opened the door. "Show me what message (y/n) phone received," I said directly and hand me her phone and I looked at the message closely. "Please don't tell her about the message Eleanor," Yuzuru said worriedly and I could understand why. "Don't worry, I won't. I have to go since (y/n) will be wondering where I have gone to." He nodded and I left. Before I could go to the room, I called the person to investigate the threat message. "What do you need Eleanor?" The man asked being cautious. "You're William (L/n), right? The father of (Y/n) (L/n)? Investigating who want to assassinate her?" I could tell he was shocked, "How did you-" before I could let him finish, I said, "Hello, I'm Eleanor Mcintyre and I'm helping you to save your daughter's life."
How did Eleanor manage to get (y/n) father? Why does that person want to assassinate (y/n)? Will Yuzuru and (Y/n) be able to be together in the end? Find out in the next chapter. Thank you for reading!!!!
