CHAPTER FOUR
sounds like a lot of effort for a group of underachievers

---

FELICITY WAS IN THE MIDST of a restless sleep, twisting and turning on the bed, and it seemed that way for everyone. Perhaps it was the anxiousness of the terrorists that were now ruling the place that the girl now called home. She loved Regis, even if she was the only girl who were to attend; she loved the boys that were named some of her closest friends; she practically loved everything about the school, despite it being one for delinquents and the likes.

After the realization that she was not going to get an ounce of sleep on this very night, Felicity grumbled and sat herself up from the bed, squinting her eyes at the light radiating through the window as she did so. She suddenly heard Joey doing the same thing, and the two stood up and made their way to the window, Billy following suit. "Can't sleep, huh?" he asked, looking through the large window. It was as if he were attempting to find a way out of the school, but, like the troublemaker he is, thinking hard enough Billy could do anything.

"Nope," Joey muttered in response. Felicity shook her head as a subtle yawn passed through her lips.

"Yeah, me neither," Billy spoke, still looking out of the glass.

Snuffy shifted on the shared bed and looked at the students to whom were conversing to pass time. "None of us can sleep, especially with you three yapping," he stated, resting his head back onto his pillow. He was curled up in a ball on the top of his bed, and Felicity could only wonder how he could do it.

Joey shook his head and diverted his gaze over to Billy. "Billy, we gotta do something, man," he said with his pace quickened due to nervousness. Joey was never one to be on edge, so the emotion that Felicity got from that simple sentence made her highly concerned for the boy.

"Yeah, we can be cool and wait to be rescued," Hank said, not at all wanting to be participating in whatever it was the terrorists were plotting.

Billy sighed. "Anybody know Morse code?" he asked, "With that light and a mirror we could send signals back and forth." Felicity scoffed, knowing that the plan wasn't exactly the greatest. Of course, with all the exemplary plans that the boy could come up with, there did tend to be a bad one here and there

"No, Billy, nobody knows Morse code!" Snuffy answered for her, chucking a pillow at the boy. Joey caught it easily and looked around in confusion. Snuffy hopped off of the bed, the movement snapping Joey out of his thoughts. "For Christ's sake," he muttered as he turned the lamp on. The rest of the boys in the room awoke from the sudden light. "Well, we've got the perfect number for Poker. Anybody got a deck of cards?"
