CHAPTER SEVEN
you're not listening to me

---

FELICITY HEARD THE GROANS OF the boys waking up around the room, and she sighed, knowing that she and everyone else had to be up in a few minutes to be counted by the terrorists that held them hostage. She sat up and rubbed her eyes red before glancing at Joey, who was still half asleep. Diligently, Felicity moved herself to the ground and shrugged his shoulder to wake up, and he did so, but maybe on the third or fourth try. "Good morning, Felicity," he yawned, his morning voice sounding very soft and attractive. Felicity repeated the phrase.

Around her, the rest of the boys slowly stood from where they were sleeping and stripped their clothing off, although, Felicity continued to lay there comfortably on the bed with no intention of leaving. Of course, the girl was staying there because of her drowsiness.

Once Billy threw a shirt over his head, he glanced over at the tired girl, a smile growing on his face. "Hey 'city," he called. The girl stayed put in her position, but let out a tired groan. "you coming?" Felicity moved her head over towards his slightly.

"Few minutes; let me wake up first," she answered. Billy shrugged and followed the rest of the group, who were now walking out the door. She shot a look over at the shared nightstand and saw that the clock read half past seven. Looking the other direction, she spotted Joey on the floor.

"Joey what are you still doing here?" she yawned, throwing the thick covers off of her body.

"I could ask you the same thing," he replied.

"I already said that I'm still waking up," she said in an 'I-thought-that-was-obvious' tone.

"Felicity..." he trailed off and shook his head. "Felicity, why do you hate me?"

"What?" She was flabbergasted at the extremely out of the blue question.

"You heard me. Why do you hate me?"

Felicity hesitated for a moment, pondering.

Joey offered the girl a look around the huge school. "At this rate, you'll probably get back in your room at midnight." He knew that this could be taken as an insult, but it was all for teasing. He liked to do that with girls, especially ones like the beautiful young woman he was admiring now.

Felicity was taken aback by the insult, but of course, after being partly isolated for almost all of her life, she didn't exactly know how to react. She stared back at him and let a small smirk surpass her lips, "Ok, fine, show me around," she answered.
