소개 - APRIL 11
THE FIRST SIGHT that Luna's eyes opened to see on the eleventh of April was her ceiling, porcelain in color with the repetitive artex design painting the entire ceiling. She'd always hated the design, claiming that it looked like the construction workers just splattered on extra cement to create lumps and folds on the ceiling. Being the perfectionist she is, she thought it didn't match her room at all, spacious and full of expensive furniture, like her king-sized bed, that her mother bought for her when she was the age of sixteen.
Either way, she woke up to the view of that ceiling and slipped her way out of bed, her sleepiness and drowsiness still invading her senses as she basically trampled into some of her furniture before getting to the door.
Walking down the wide stairs, leading to the foyer with a chandelier hovering above it, Luna heard the mutters and grumbles of a woman from the kitchen, along with some clattering noise that she couldn't quite put her finger on as to what it was. When she made her way into the kitchen, all she saw was the back of her housemaid, Jang-Mi, who was muttering frustrated words to herself.
"Jang-Mi?" Luna's raspy morning voice startled the housemaid a bit, as she turned around and held something in her hand while the other clutched her heart.
"Oh! Why, good morning, Luna," she replied calmly, fixing her dark brown hair that had previously fallen over her chubby face.
"What... What are you doing?" The girl raised her eyebrow as her eyes landed on the machine Jang-Mi held in her hand tightly.
"The blender is broken. Can you believe it?" Jang-Mi scoffed, carrying the blender and setting it on top of the counter island that was separating the two. "Tried to make that strawberry smoothie your grandmother wanted to try, and the blade just detached! Imagine if I had left the cap open!"
"My friend would have been a treasured memory," Luna groggily chuckled, sitting on one of the stools of the counter island, leaning on it with her elbows.
"Now, I'm not quite sure what to do. I don't really look like a mechanic, do I?" Jang-Mi placed her hands on her hips as she eyed the blender.
"We'll just buy a new one," Luna said as she rubbed her eye.
"A new what?" A voice came from behind Luna and she turned her head slightly to see her grandmother, her grey hair put up into a makeshift bun as she wore a velvet robe.
"A blender," Jang-Mi let out a sigh. "I was trying to make the strawberry smoothie you've been wanting to try, my apologies."
