CHAPTER SIX:
Beautiful Weather❀
CALLISTO WAS ALWAYS EXCITED THE DAY BEFORE A QUIDDITCH MATCH, AS WERE MOST HOGWARTS STUDENTS. Yes, she was still wishing that it was Slytherin that was still playing Gryffindor, but she always enjoyed watching the other games with Estella. Not only were the matches entertaining to watch, but it also gave the girls ideas on different manoeuvers they could try out, or at the very least it would give them a little bit of insight into how the other teams played and what certain players' weaknesses were. But for now, Callisto was stuck in Transfiguration class and much to her dismay, it was with the Gryffindors.
She sat beside Adrian who had been constantly chatting to her, seemingly having missed her from the few previous days where she blatantly refused to speak to him. Callisto had refrained from discussing the topic of Sirius Black any further with anyone after their whole school sleepover in the Great Hall just nights before. She was worried that if she spoke about him that she'd accidentally let slip that she saw him that night, and she was worried that if she did it would somehow be easier to find him or they'd search the grounds of Hogwarts even more carefully then before, determined to find the falsely accused mass murderer.
Callisto hoped that she'd get to speak to Sirius Black again, she was almost desperate to find out how he left his blood prejudiced family and also what it was like for him growing up. A small part of her hoped that his situation was similar to hers and that maybe, just maybe, one day she could do the same.
For pretty much the entire lesson so far, Adrian had been talking to Callisto. Some of it she listened to, and other parts she tuned out as she was actually trying to work hard in class to avoid excess homework. Callisto then noticed the Weasley twins laughing about something from the front of the classroom, and she then noticed Professor McGonagall make her way towards them with an annoyed expression.
Callisto snickered a little when she saw the professor reprimand them before gesturing for one of them to stand up. Callisto stopped her sniggering as soon as the professor started walking towards their desk with Fred, Adrian still talking animatedly about Quidditch or something that he didn't notice the professor. Callisto kicked his leg underneath the table in hopes to stop him from talking, but she was too late as McGonagall stopped in front of their desk.
The Lestrange couldn't believe that she was forced to move from her seat next to Adrian and sit beside a very smug-looking George Weasley, she wondered why it couldn't have been Fred, at least he didn't speak to her. Not only was she now permanently sitting next to him in Astronomy, but now Transfiguration. She swore that it couldn't possibly get any worse than this.
She glared at George as soon as she next to him before quickly jotting down notes for her essay, deciding to ignore him entirely. After having to speak to George three times in one day, Callisto had decided to actively avoid him and up until that moment in Transfiguration, she had been successful for the past three and a half days.
