CHAPTER FIVE:
Dear Cousin

CALLISTO HAD ONLY JUST HEARD THE NEW KNOWLEDGE OF SIRIUS BLACK BEING SIGHTED A FEW TOWNS OVER BY THE TIME IT WAS DINNER. Her trip to Hogsmeade earlier that day had been predominantly spent by herself and hence, no one had told her about her murderous cousin being somewhat nearby.

She was sitting in the Great Hall with Estella, the two were barely eating anything due to the amount of sugar they had consumed earlier that day. They were chatting happily, well, that was until Adrian Pucey placed the newspaper from that morning in front of Callisto, not saying a word to her as he did so.

Her jaw dropped when she saw what was on the front cover. His name was the headlined on the newspaper, which Callisto had just realised was the Daily Prophet, her least favourite newspaper by far, and his soundless screaming picture was just below it. Sirius looked truly crazy, but Callisto couldn't judge him for that given who her parents were.

Callisto looked down the Slytherin table to where Adrian was now sitting with Marcus and Terence, he caught her eye and she sent him a confused look, wondering why he felt the need to show her this. She had never met Sirius Black, but from the few stories she had heard about him, she wondered if he really was a murderer. She knew that he was disowned from the Black family because he didn't want to be a Death Eater, so she wondered as to why he allegedly did the Dark Lord's bidding. It just didn't make any sense to her.

The boys ignored her questioning look and continued with eating their meal which caused Callisto to roll her eyes in annoyance. Estella laughed as she too took a look at the newspaper that Adrian had given Callisto.

"You know, I can see the family resemblance," Estella teased with a cheeky grin and Callisto rolled her eyes again, but then Estella's expression turned from joking to serious.

"What? Now are you going to tell me that I have his eyes?" Callisto said sarcastically but Estella only held the newspaper up beside the Lestrange's face, eyes widening at what she saw.

"Actually, yeah," Estella said as her eyes darted between Callisto and the screaming image of Sirius Black. "If he was about twenty years younger, you two could probably pass as siblings," Estella said seriously and Callisto scrunched up her nose in confusion.

"Give me that," Callisto mumbled before taking the newspaper back from Estella and looking intently at the picture of her cousin, desperately trying to see the resemblance that Estella so clearly saw. Sure, there was the general dark hair and face shape that Callisto could easily see, but she didn't see anything else that was particularly similar.

"I don't see it," Callisto muttered and Estella shrugged as she placed the newspaper back on the table. "I mean, you can tell we're family, I guess. We both have the typical Black family look," Callisto added nonchalantly.
