~Oikawa x Reader~ pt. 3

(also I was checking stuff on old chapters but I was looking at it thru reader view, do yall see the pictures I put? Like its suppose to be at the top like at the banner thingy idk if thats just my thing of what but plz lmk)

     (M/N)'s alarm went off so he dragged himself out of bed and got ready for school. As he walked out the door he put his earbuds in and played some music. He didn't necessarily hate the idea of going to practice, but he definitely wasn't excited. As he got to the school gates he took a deep breath and took his earsbuds out. He walked into the club room and saw there was no one there. He sighed in relief and got changed. He heard the door opened and turned to see Tanaka.

     "Mornin' (M/N)!" Tanaka exclaimed.

     "Good morning." (M/N) said. There was a bit of awkward silence before Tanaka spoke up.

     "I'm sorry about what happened at the movies (M/N), I had no idea you left because of me. I should have asked you before hand if it was okay for me to bring another person, and I apologize deeply for it." Tanaka stated as he bowed. (M/N) stared at him wide-eyed with admiration.

     "Thank you Tanaka, I appreciate the apology." (M/N) smiled. "I'm sorry for kinda snapping at you too the other day, you didn't know what happened."

     "Thanks, I understand why you did though." They both smiled at each other. "So are we cool now?"

     "Yeah we're cool." (M/N) said. Tanaka raised his hand for a fist-bump and (M/N) went through with it. They chuckled and started talking about different things, trying to get to know each other better. They walked to the gym, only to have coach Ukai yelling at everyone for warmups.

The game started with Suga, Hinata, Tanaka, and (M/N) against Kageyama, Noya, Tsukishima, and Daichi. Practice went the same as the days before, except this time Suga had to recieve. Tanaka ran into position to set the ball.

"(M/N)!" He yelled. (M/N) set himself up to spike the ball, then he hit one of the best cross-shots he's done, scoring a point for the team.

"Dude that was great!" Tanaka said as he slapped (M/N) on the back.

"Thanks!" (M/N) turned around to see if anyone else was going to say anything. No one else said anything towards (M/N), which he was a little sad about since he wanted some praise for a good shot, but he brushed it off and the game continued. Throughout the game Suga started to set more balls to (M/N), with him hitting a good shot almost everytime. Practice ended and they all headed to the locker rooms to change. (M/N) checked his phone to see a text from Oikawa.

Seijohs King👑:
Has the tension w/ ur team lessened at least a bit?

Mr International :
A bit, at least me and the guy who brought his friend made up, were cool now
Still a bit tense with the rest, but at least they set me a few more balls :)

(M/N) smiled as he put his phone in his pocket and headed to class, this time he was actually excited.

(time skip: after school practice)

(M/N) was the last one to arrive to the club room since he had class duties, but when he opened the door he saw the whole team standing in a semi-circle and staring at him.

"Uhm...hi?" (M/N) said confused.

"Hey (M/N)." Suga started. "We wanted to apologize for how we, mostly me, have treated you for the past week. Tanaka told us he already apologized for bringing another person, but we wanted to apologize for kicking you out, especially since you bought the tickets for all of us. I'm sure coming to a new school in a new country and trying to make new friends is hard, and i'm sure we've made it even worse. As a way to make up for it, we were wondering if we could make it up by having movie night again, instead at one of our houses though, at least that way we don't have to worry about money and tickets and stuff." Suga proposed with a bright and hopeful smile. The rest of the team looked at (M/N) with genuine smiles.

"Thank you for the apology, but you guys don't have to do another movie night if you don't want!" (M/N) said flustered, a bit overwhelmed by everything.

"Nonsense, of course we do! You're our new teammate and friend, we want to get to know you more! At least if you don't make any friends in your class you always have us." Suga said. (M/N) started to tear up and he was shaking as held his head down, not wanting everyone to see him almost cry.

"Are you okay?" Tanaka asked, which was the one question needed to make (M/N) start to fully cry.

"Thank you guys...I appreciate it...I'd really like to hangout with you guys..." (M/N) croaked out as his voice cracked. The rest of the team cheered, happy that (M/N) accepted their apology. They all affectionately slapped him on the back and arms as their way of comforting him. Practice went on, this time with a much happier feel.

(time skip: after practice)

(M/N) was humming while taking his usual way home when he passed by Aoba Johsai and saw Oikawa talking with Iwaizumi.

"Oikawa!" (M/N) exclaimed as he jogged up to him.

"Hey (M/N)! You go ahead Iwa, i'm gonna walk with (M/N)." Iwa nodded and waved as he walked in a different direction. "Someone looks like their in a good mood." Oikawa teased as he turned back to (M/N).

"You bet I am." (M/N) said. "As I walked into the club room for practice after school, I see all of them standing there and then one of them went on a speech apologizing about the way they acted." (M/N) smiled.

"That's great (M/N)!" Oikawa cheered.

"Yup! And they invited me over for a movie night at one of their places!"

"That's cool! I'm happy for you (M/N)!" Oikawa smiled. "Speaking of movie dates...I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date with me?" He asked.

"We talkin' friend date or..." (M/N) trailed off.

"I was thinking more of a romatic date if your down for it." (M/N) felt like his heart was going to burst out of his chest.

"Yes! Of course!" (M/N) exclaimed as he hugged Oikawa. He hugged back and giggled, excited that (M/N) said yes.

"Then how 'bout Saturday at 7? We could go for dinner then a movie?" Oikawa asked.

"Sure, i'll come pick you up!" (M/N) smiled.

"Great! Well this is my turn, i'll see you later (M/N)!" Oikawa waved. (M/N) waved back as they both turned seperate directions to head home.

'This is the best day ever.'
