That's why it’s complicated.
I walked into school normally with my headphones playing 'so done' by The Kid Laroi . One thing I knew was that I needed to not draw any attention to myself so just walking is the best thing to do.
I heard whispers about me riding a skateboard to school. God is this school that toxic? I can’t even ride a skateboard without getting judged by strangers. I just carried on walking to the head teachers office when this guy bumps into me and I end up dropping my phone. Great way to start the day.
“I’m very sorry” he says while snickering. I pick my phone to see it hasn’t cracked and just carry on walking without saying anything. You always told me to ignore the haters.
“Did you really just walk away?” The boy who dropped my phone had come back. Take a hint dude, I don’t want to talk to you. But instead of saying that I carry on walking.
“Oh my, are you deaf?” He questions with a smirk.
“yes I’m deaf,” I say bluntly while walking away again. This kid is gonna cause a problem for me, I just know it. I finally reach the office and enter leaving my skateboard outside. Bad idea? Yes.
When i enter the room its empty but there's a letter with my name on it on the desk.
Dear y/n,
welcome to our school, i am sorry that i couldn't give you this letter myself but i have a very important meeting today. However your timetable is attached to this letter and we have given you a buddy t show you around the school. They will be waiting for you in your first lesson which is maths. Be safe and have fun
Sincerely, Principle Hayes
Great a buddy. just what i wanted. i left the room effortlessly to find that someone's taken my skateboard. This is why i said it was a bad idea. I have a feeling i know who took it but i will not give him attention. Ill just inform the teacher that its gone.
