Chapter 3

Summer's POV

I convinced Kith to be my driver for today so we grab a flower and visited Lola's grave.

"Hello po La...sorry po kasi ngayon lang po ako nakadalaw. Kamusta po kayo La? Hmm I already achieved our dreams...hindi lang po ako nurse...I am now a Doctor...sayang La noh? Kung...b..buhay p..pa po kayo sana po g..gagamutin ko po kayo...s..sana may nagawa pa po a..ako para sa inyo..."

Ramdam kong hinahaplos ni Kith ang likod ko but I can't stop myself from crying.

"I miss you Lola...I miss you so much..."

Inalo at niyakap niya ako and I keep crying on his shoulder.

"Hello La! Naaalala niyo po ba ako? Ako po yung rason noon kung bakit po na hospital itong Apo niyo. Pero wag po kayong mag alala dahil aalagaan ko po itong Apo ninyong sobra pa sa bato yung tigas ng ulo pero kasing rupok naman ng maliit na sanga ng bayabas, takot ko lang po sa inyo kasi baka multuhin niyo ako."

Hinampas ko siya dahil sa pagbibiro niya pero hindi siya tumawa, seryoso pa din ang mukha niya like he is really talking to my grandmother.

"Pero Lola, kahit po matigas ang ulo, pasaway at suplada itong apo niyo, hindi ko po to iiwan kahit na nasa malayo po ako, I will do anything to help and let her feel that she is not alone anymore. Mahal ko po itong Apo niyo kaso mukhang na stuck po ata to sa gago niyang ex. Hindi ko po mapalitan eh."

Hinawakan ko ang braso niya kaya tiningnan niya ako at ngumiti pero hindi umabot sa mata niya.

"Hindi ko na siya mahal, Kith. I've had enough already a..at alam ko y..yung nararamdaman mo pero Kasi I'm n..not ready for any kind of relationship other than being friends with you. I hope you understand that... You're my friend Kith and I thank you for everything you've done for me kahit noong nasa labas pa tayo. B..but I just c..can't..."

Ginulo niya ang buhok ko bago binalik ang tingin sa harap at hinaplos ang pangalan ni Lola.

"Stop lying to yourself hon, I've been with you for a long time. Isa pa hindi magugustuhan ni Lola kapag pinatuloy mong saktan ang sarili mo. Free yourself from your past."

No... Naka move on na ako...

I believe I did...

"I love you, and God knows what I'll do just to see your smiles before."

With that, he bid his farewell to Lola's grave before standing and offering his hand to me, so I did the same. I bid my farewell and promise to be back before my flight to States then I reach for his hand and we walk towards his car.

"Let's have early lunch, I know you need to see the beauty of this place again. Inuubos mo Kasi ang oras mo sa trabaho and you even forgot yourself sometimes."

I pout because of his words. He's exaggerating! Well I think he's right? But it's not like I am spending ALL my time at my work. I just need to because everyday a lot of people are coming at the hospital with different sickness and wounds.

"Yes boss, ikaw na po yung bahala but I heard from Shakira that there's a new restaurant nearby. I want to go there, pasta and steak!"

He chuckled softly and pulled me closer to wrap his hands on my waist then kiss me on the cheeks before opening the door of his car for me.

"I'll let you eat all you want, I don't even get it because you're a Doctor yet you eat unhealthy foods. Kung hindi pa ako magpapadeliver ng foods sa iyo ay baka puro instant foods na ang kinakain mo."
