Eloise felt useless. The group was falling apart. Abraham and Eugene still haven't talked since Eugene admitted to not knowing the cure, making meal time's very awkward for everyone that lived in the house. Noah was dead, Tara still hadn't woken up and Rick could be exiled.

So to try and keep herself busy, Eloise sat by Tara's bedside everyday. The doctor said she should be waking up any day now and Eloise did not want to miss it so she sat in the infirmary with her, holding her hand, hoping she'd feel her squeeze back to let her know she's there.

The whole group came to visit all the time but the main people that came where Eloise, Rosita, Eugene and Abraham which was quite unfortunate since Abraham and Eugene still aren't on speaking terms.

Eloise sat on a chair beside Tara, her knees pulled up to her chest as she tried to rest but couldn't over Eugene's loud snoring.

She heard the door creep open and Eloise softly opened her eyes and saw Abraham peak his head through the door holding flowers. He was about to fully walk in until his eyes landed on Eugene. "Oh. I'll come back later."

Eloise groaned, loud enough for Abraham and Rosita to hear but not loud enough to wake up Eugene. "You two are unbelievable." They both froze at her words before gesturing to the sleeping man across from her. "He's asleep. You don't need to be hiding away when he's sleeping." Eloise spoke again. She was never rude to either of the men, she thought very highly of them, both in different ways.

Abraham was always the cool uncle with funny one liners and tells you to go and be a teenager, live your life, get drunk, be stupid. He always taught Eloise cool survival hacks before they went to Alexandria and Eloise even tried to teach him knife throwing but he insisted guns were his calling while Eugene was the weird uncle who always said things no one understood but you enjoyed talking to them anyway. Before the world went to shit, Eloise considered herself a nerd, Jasper would call her a dork and a dweeb all the time so she always enjoyed her conversations with Eugene.

Abraham sighed at the young girls words, quietly closing the door and walking into the room. He made small steps to the chair beside Eugene and Eloise watched with a proud smile and out of the corner of her eyes, she could see Rosita slowly pushing a metal cookie tray off the counter. The loud clanging made Eugene jump awake. "Whoops." Rosita smirked out as Eloise held in her laugh.

Eloise watched as Eugene stared at Abraham, waiting for one of them to say something but they didn't. "Are you two gonna say something or just stare into each other's eyes?" Eloise asked.

"Lou!" Rosita warned from the kitchen. Eloise rose her hands in surrender as Eugene finally spoke. "Good afternoon." Abraham didn't say anything in return, only watched Tara. "She saved my life. She also cracked open my gourd to considering implications I hadn't I will remake about those at this time." Eugene said again and Eloise froze. Her face scrunched up in disgust, having no clue what a 'gourd' is and not wanting to know how Tara 'cracked it open'. Eugene quickly picked up on Lou's disgust.
