It was official, the members of Hilltop would help Alexndria take down the Saviors, which meant Maggie, Enid, Jace and Jesus had to teach them how to fight.

Jace was in charge of knife throwing, a skill he learned from living with Eloise at Alexandria. He missed Alexandria more than Enid had and as much as he hated to admit it, Alexandria was his home. Being at Hilltop felt almost like a vacation that he wanted to end.

Rosita ended up at Hilltop too, saying she wanted to help teach them to fight.

After a long day of training, Jace, Enid and Jesus walked into the trailer Jace and Enid had been staying in with Maggie and when they got inside Sasha was already in there, a guilty look on her face as she slammed the book in her hands shut.

"I was... looking for something to read the other day." Sasha tried to explain as Jesus shook his head. "You can have the bullets. I didn't know you had a gun."

Jace's brows furrowed as Sasha shook her head. "I didn't. I do now." Jesus shook his head, walking towards Sasha. "Sasha, don't go, not yet. Rosita didn't come here to train people. You're both going after Negan. But you can't do that without people. A lot of people."

Jace and Enid both froze at Jesus' words. They quickly made eye contact before looking back at the two adults.

"We've talked about this. I know what you think. And I appreciate that. But I'm not gonna change my mind. She's not." Sasha said before turning to the two teens. "Does Maggie know Rosita's here yet?"

Jace shook his head, dragging a hand down his face. "Uh, I-I-I don't think so. I didn't tell her yet." Sasha nodded as Enid took a step towards her. "You should tell her. About all of it."

Sasha shook her head, walking away. "No. Not yet. I'm still- I'm still getting ready. And the thing is, Rosita is going, with or without me. So it should be with me."

"Then I'll go, too." Jesus said and Enid nodded, taking a step towards them. "Me, too." Jace awkwardly raised his hand, nodding. "I'll go."

"No. The Hilltop has to be ready for what happens after. Maggie needs you." Sasha said, looking back and forth between the three. Jace took another step towards them. "She needs you, too." He said and Sasha shook her head. "Not anymore. She has everyone else, and they have her."

"You can stay. I know you can. But I know you won't and she won't, but I wish you would. 'Cause it's a long life, and then it isn't. You can take anything else you need. But you and Rosita need to talk to Maggie. You owe her that much." Jesus said before walking out of the trailer.

As soon as the door closed, Sasha started packing again. Jace cleared his throat, letting her know that he and Enid were still there while Enid sighed. Sasha sighed, walking towards the kids.

"Listen... Enid... Jace... Maggie trusts you two. You have to protect her, no matter what. She's the future of this place. I know it. So are you."

Sasha dug something in her pocket and pulled out a threaded bracelet. "Hold on to this for me. It's for the baby. Maybe you can work on it while I'm gone."

Enid slowly took the bracelet out of Sasha's hands and nodded. "Okay." The two went to walk out the door before Jace stopped, turning to Sasha who went back to packing.

"Sasha?" The woman turned around at Jace's voice. "Yeah?" Jace looked down before sighing. "In 10 minutes, I'm gonna tell Maggie what's going on. It's up to you what you want to do with that. But she should know." Enid nodded with Jace. "We're doing what you asked." She mumbled before they walked out of the trailer.

As they walked out of the trailer, they heard the sounds of the gate opening and the Saviors trucks pulled in. Jace tensed up, turning around to where Maggie and Daryl were. "Shit." He mumbled before running to the two, Enid right behind him.

Jace grabbed the adults arms pulling them towards the hidden exit they made. "We'll never make it in time." Maggie breathed out and Enid cut in front if the three, running behind the Barrington House. "Come on!" She opened up the cellar doors and Maggie and Daryl instantly climbed in.

"Just stay down there. We'll keep them away." Enid said as Jace looked at the Saviors, not recognizing them. "They aren't the same ones from Alexandria."

...

"Hi!" Enid cheered as she turned the corner, Jace hot on her trail with a basket of spare metal he stole from the blacksmith. "Uh, I brought some spare metal in case you guys need it." Jace muttered as Enid lifted her basket higher. "And I've got fresh veggies–"

"Stop. They're vegetables. Use the whole word. We have time." The Savior interrupted, taking Enid and Jace by surprise but they shrugged it off, not wanting to aggravate the man.

"Uh... Okay I have these vegetables they told us to bring these over, uh, and the basket's pretty heavy. For me, I mean. Probably not you. Uh, here." Enid said before going to take the basket from Jace and give it to the man but Jace quickly noticed the guy getting annoyed and pulled the basket away from Enid before grabbing her arm and pulling her back as well.

"Stop. I don't know who you think I am or who we are. Load them yourself. I'm busy." The man said before tossing the basket on the floor. Jace quickly bent down, dropping his basket on the ground to pick up the vegetables, Enid doing the same.

"Kids, pick that shit up right now and scram. And I'll take that." The Savior said, pointing at Jace's knife and holster. "Now. Don't make me cut it off you, boy." Jace clenched his jaw, glaring at the man before taking it off and handing it to him.

"Come on, lets go." Enid whispered, pulling Jace away from the man and back towards the gardens and blacksmith to put the fruit and metal back.
