the ginger-head sweat dropped when he opened the door and the first person he laid his sight on, was xiao. the ravenette had his resting bitch face, narrowing amber eyes and pressing his lips together.

"hi", ajax said, stepping aside so he and the others could enter properly.

venti and bennett chatted happily about a new song the black haired collaborated in, while diluc and kaeya said their hello's. zhongli made his way to the visitor's after hearing the noise and gave xiao a short hug as a welcome.

"fischl and barbara are in the living room, noelle said she'll be here in ten", the brunette male informed them and gave his boyfriend a soft smile - xiao could vomit at the sight.

"where's y/n?", he asked his best friend, tugging out of his jacket and hoodie. the weather forecast said it would be snowing after midnight and the minus temperatures made him wish he could get into hibernation like diluc's pet turtle.

"in the kitchen. my sister requested to cook dinner for us even when ajax and me already decided she should be enjoying the evening without working on chores." xiao nodded and followed the group into the living room, went by the couch because greeting the two women there was a minor matter to him now.

venti joyfully hugged them and benny gave them a heartwarming smile; "so why are you here, fischl? didn't your parents already had plans? something about italy?", diluc asked the blonde, sitting down next to his boyfriend and venti.

"ahhh, yeaaah", the producer suddenly said, nearly sweat dropping and looking aside, "so about that." diluc expected the worst after their words.

"what did you do", he gritted his teeth, ready to throw hands because that dumbass probably did stupid shit again. as always.

unsurprisingly, he thought afterwards. i mean, it's venti and bennett after all, what exactly did he expect?

"we kinda staged a kidnapping this morning." the room went silent and kaeya had to hold the red-head back before he could jump at them.

"you what", zhongli's golden eyes were wide in shock while he tried to compensate what the producer just said.

"so lemme get this straight", ajax pinched the bridge of his nose, one hand on the lower back of zhongli so he could feel if his boyfriend would fall over by any means, "you staged a kidnapping so fischl could escape from the hell her parents are?" bennett and his best friend nodded eagerly, convinced their plan was perfect.

"you are fucking iDIOTS", diluc stated, the happiness slipping from the faces of his two friends.

"it's fine, really. i'm positive my parents are actually busy enough to not notice my disappearance for at least another night", the woman smiled assuring and made barbara giggle in amusement. she knew about the plan and how the two forgot to tell they initiated her butler for cover. oz would surely hold them off long enough with poorly thought excuses before her parents would involve the mss.

she wondered how diluc would react if he knew y/n brought up the idea yesterday.

"hey", xiao says to the young woman when he set foot into the kitchen. the smell of garlic and spring onions greeted him. his best friend turned her head around and gave him a rushed smile - she was afraid of getting distracted by his looks and burning the food as a result.
