Draco Malfoy

"Malfoy, you won't believe what this Gryffindor girl just told me", Blaise muttered in my ear as he returned from the Gryffindor table, visiting one of his hookups.

"Better be worth my time, Blaise, I've got more important things to do."

"That McLaggen bloke has his eyes on Cardaillet."

"Oh, really. You think I haven't noticed?" I scoffed.

"No, not just that. It gets better", Blaise said with excitement, as if he had just received 100 galleons. "According to Patil, McLaggen is going to spike her drink at the next party in the dungeons, so he can, y'know... Mental, innit?"

I stared at Blaise, mouth agape with disgust. I was infuriated. Enraged, even. But, of course, I couldn't really show too much emotion, or else he'd think I liked her or something. I couldn't believe McLaggen had the audacity to even try doing such a fucking thing.

"Oi, speaking of, where is Clar- I mean, Cardaillet. I haven't seen her all morning."

"I dunno, mate, why?"

"Oh, it's not important. I just need to speak to her about something for uh- Potions."

Blaise slowly nodded his head, suspicious.

"Well, on that note, I'll be right back" I said, as I raced out of the Great Hall. I needed to find Clarissa so I could tell her. As much as I was annoyed at her right now for everything she said last night, she had to know about McLaggen and his fucking plan. It was around 1:00pm, and she hadn't been in any of her classes, as I had most morning classes with her. I also hadn't seen her at breakfast earlier.

Racing down the corridors, not a person in sight, I could just sense that something was wrong. Clarissa always showed up to her classes, as she wanted to keep her perfect prefect status. My black dress shoes pattered on the grimy floors, and my long robes dragged behind them. After about 5 minutes of racing down halls, as I started to become out of breath, I heard a noise. A muffled scream of sorts. I could tell it was Clarissa by the tone of her voice, I just didn't know where.

Now, it was a game of hot and cold. If the screams got louder, I was close, and if they got quieter, I wasn't. My heart was racing, and I needed to find her. Not only to tell her about Cormac, but also to find out what was wrong, what was causing her to scream. As much as I didn't want to admit it, I had something for her. There was a spark between us. I knew I was getting closer, because I heard her swearing in French, with muffled cries in between.

"Pétasse!" she violently screamed, "Tu es une grande pétasse!"

All of a sudden, my stomach dropped. It was coming from Umbridge's office, Dumbledore's former office. I had heard about what she did to Potter, which I didn't really mind, as that what his ass deserved, but I prayed that she wasn't doing it to Clarissa. What she did to Potter sounded brutal, and I remembered.

Flashback:

"Malfoy! Malfoy! I've got great news!" Crabbe rushed into our dorm, shaking with eagerness.

"What, Crabbe. Does it concern me?"

"No, but-"

"Then sod off, I don't care", I spat.

"It's about Potter!"

"Oh, well, go on."

"Harry got sent to Umbridge's office after claiming He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is back, and she made him write lines, and-"
