Draco Malfoy

"Are you out of your fucking mind? You know there's spells on the castle, what do you think is going to happen? They can't get in, Clarissa, snap out of it!" I yelled, trying to get into her head and work through her wild thoughts.

"No, Draco, they can. They will. I'll show you. I mean, you don't even know what's going on behind your own back, D.  I've seen your father speak about it right in front of you at the Manor before. Do you choose to ignore him? Obey him, Draco, he's more powerful than you think." She grilled, maniacally staring into my eyes.

"Can't you see, Riss, can't you see? You've been so brainwashed by them, you don't sound like you at all. You sound exactly like my fucking father, so desperate for attention and hungry for power." I pleaded, trying to change her. But she was stubborn, like usual.

"I'm me, I've finally found my calling, my true desires. I belong with them, Draco. I'm theirs and they're mine." The beautiful emerald green I had seen once in her eyes had deformed into fiery, stormy mix of green and black, as if her pupil was an egg yolk mixing into the white. I knew it was a product of the dark magic she had tried to use, but obviously backfired.

"I miss you darling, I really do. I need you to change. Stop trying to win your brother's attention and just return to your normal life. You'll be so much better off without them." I breathed, doing my best to remain calm.

"No, no, I'll show you, I swear!" She whined, pleading for me to agree with her. But I couldn't.

"Now, now, what is going on here?" A voice boomed from the doorway as the door swung open.

"What are you doing back at this castle, you ravenous prick? Back to baby and care for little Potter?" She seethed, glaring at the both of us.

"Hm, Miss Cardaillet, come with me, I've got something to show you." He said, with serenity. His bold presence perfectly aligned with his words, so soft and graceful yet so strong and powerful.

"What is it? A cell? In Azkaban? I'd be out of my mind to leave with you, Dumbledore." She grinned with an evil smile, breathing heavily.

"Right, I see how it is." He said, and with the flick of his wand, her arms were tied back and she was embraced.

"Oh, so I'm just a fucking prisoner to you now? I'm just a student, y'know. A child, in fact. I don't need your help, Dumbledore, let me be!" She growled, beginning to choke again. I could tell what would happen next. Just like before, she'd be furious, then break down and cry. Like she said, she was just a girl. She couldn't handle all that stress of being in that state.

It was crazy how everything had twisted. At the beginning of the year, she was the one talking back and trying to change me into a better person. I suppose it worked a bit. Now, it was the other way around.

I just wanted to hold her. I wanted to grab her in my arms and cradle her until she calmed down, letting her tears drip down my robes. Like it used to be. The endless nights of her coming into my room at 2am, shaking and crying as she climbed into my bed. As tedious as it was, I missed it. I missed her. But she was gone now.

She laughed hysterically with the same foul grin on her face, giggling until the tears were spilling down her face. I was glad. As loyal as I felt towards my father, I was content knowing she was out of his hands and in Dumbledore's.

"Minerva, take her to the office. We'll both have a little chat. Now, as for you Mr. Malfoy, I'd like to speak to you as well."

"Yes, professor?"
