Hi. It's been too long since I said that. How are things? Is your mum treating you well? Here in Scotland it's been pretty nice so far. The weather is warm. I've been able to catch up with old muggle friends from my hometown. Hopefully you've got some friends back home too. I really miss you. I know, I know, it's hardly even been two weeks, but it feels like its been months. From the stories you've told me, there's lots to do out in France, especially the closer you get to the city. Please write back telling me everything.

Hi. I hope you know I laughed a bit at that. I miss you loads too. If I'm being honest, life has been pretty shitty out here. My mother has been giving me close to the silent treatment. It's like being locked up. She won't allow me to go to the city, and won't let me see my friends either. I think she's just afraid she'll lose me like she lost Esmee and Nicolas. She's doing the wrong thing for the right reasons. I still love her I guess. Anyways, I'm happy that you're enjoying yourself in Scotland. Despite being a travel addict, I haven't actually been to Scotland. I've heard it's nice though. Sometimes I really wish I had come and stayed with you, but I can't leave my mother. As much as I hate to admit, she needs me. What are your friends like? Are they as funny as I am? (I don't think so). Thanks for writing me. See you soon.

I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe if I convince my mum I can come visit you. Or kidnap you. Who knows? I think I'd go insane if I couldn't see my friends. I don't know how you manage. My friends are great. For your entertainment, my closest friends are Callum, Lachlan, Oliver, and Max. I've mentioned you, but since they're muggles, I told them we met at our "private school". Its really hard to pretend I'm also a muggle. Maybe I just talk too much for my own good. Its been approximately 27 days without magic. I'm actually going to go insane. My mum is super paranoid about me using magic at home or anywhere outside of Hogwarts because of the trace. She's pretty crazy. I wonder if there's any way we can catch up soon. Sorry I've taken so long to write back, I haven't exactly been busy. My mother's been on my arse recently. She thinks I'm working with Death Eaters. I think she's going insane. She wouldn't be the only one. Anyways, I'm very jealous of your little friend group. I would kill for some proper social interaction right now. I hate summer. Not sure if I've mentioned that before, but I really hate summer. It's just so unorganized. But yeah, we should catch up. Not sure if its even possible with the lunatic I'm living with, but I'd certainly like to. I can probably sneak out. What if we meet halfway? That's just an idea though. Thanks for giving me something to do while I'm stuck here at home, by writing to me. I'm very excited to go back to school in a month. That's about it.

That's a good idea. How would you get around your mum? Mine would be fine if I just told her I was just going to see a friend for a few days. She's pretty relaxed now. Where would we meet? England? France? I'm fine with either. Write back soon.
