HOPE'S POV
Josie was still sleeping peacefully, so I decided to head down to the kitchen for breakfast. Of course, I forgot we had no groceries. Just as I was about to head to the arcade, my phone buzzed with incoming messages.
Perfect timing, I thought, excitement stirring in my chest.
I raced upstairs to wake Josie.
"Baby," I murmured softly, shaking her gently.

JOSIE'S POV
I stirred from a peaceful slumber, blinking up at Hope. Her warmth enveloped me, and I instinctively pulled my clothes back on, still dazed. She leaned close, whispering a spell that made me look presentable, as if she hadn't just thoroughly rocked my world.

TIME JUMP: IN THE CAR
I sat in the passenger seat, humming along to the music, my gaze fixed on my beautiful girlfriend.
"What up, princess?" Hope smirked. That damn smirk of hers ignited a fire in my chest.
"Nothing, mommy," I teased, letting my playful side shine through.
Her eyes flashed gold, a low growl rumbling in her throat. The energy shifted in the car, sending shivers down my spine.
A wicked idea sparked. I cast a blackout spell, shielding the car while leaving our view outside intact.
With a daring grin, I pulled down my pants and underwear, my heart racing. I began teasing myself, soft moans slipping past my lips as I watched Hope grip the wheel tighter, knuckles white.
As I quickened my pace, she leaned forward, eyes dark with desire. Just when I thought I'd reach my peak, everything froze, my hand refused to move.
Turning to her, I smirked. "What's wrong, baby?"
"Guess you're not the only one who can play," she replied, her voice sultry. Suddenly, my hand moved on its own, guided by an almost inhuman speed, sending waves of pleasure crashing through me.
"Oh God, Hope!" I moaned, spiraling toward ecstasy. But then, everything stopped. My clothes returned as if by magic, and Hope hopped out, leaving me speechless.

HOPE'S POV
I opened Josie's door, smirking at her confused expression. She glared at me playfully, and hand in hand, we walked into the school, radiating happiness.
But that happiness evaporated when we stepped into my room.
"WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU GUYS BEEN?"
"I WAS SCARED OUT OF MY MIND!" Freya shouted, worry etched in every word.
I tensed, ready to defend Josie, but then noticed the sadness on her face. My wolf stirred instinctively. Eyes golden, a low growl escaping me.
"Hope, calm down RIGHT now," Keelin stepped in, concern etched on her features.
I felt Josie's hands tracing shapes on my back, soothing me. Slowly, I melted into her embrace, nuzzling her neck, seeking comfort in her presence.
⸻
FREYA'S POV
Watching Josie calm Hope filled me with warmth despite my irritation. Their love was undeniable, a bond that even my worry couldn't overshadow.
Keelin finally spoke. "Okay, girls. Josie, we talked to your father about you and Hope staying at the compound for a bit. Is that okay?"
Josie nodded, cuddling closer to Hope, clearly pleased.
"Pack your things; we leave tomorrow," I said, nudging them gently apart.
Josie started out the door with Hope close behind. I grabbed Hope's arm. She glanced at me, annoyance flashing, mouthing something to Josie before closing the door behind us.
Without looking at me, she muttered a spell, magically packing her suitcase.
"Hope, what was that?" I demanded.
"What was what?" she replied innocently, feigning confusion.
"Don't play dumb; you know exactly what I mean."
Her smirk widened. "You made my girlfriend sad, which made me mad. What else is there to explain?"
"You can't let your wolf overpower you like that," I warned, knowing how dangerous unchecked emotions could be.
"Oh, I understand now," she said, smirking. "When I show emotion, it's my wolf? Fine. But yes, my eyes flashed gold, that was me. If you pull that stunt again in front of Josie, we'll have a real problem."
