Josie's POV

Hope and I were locked in a heated make-out session when a sudden burning sensation shot through my hip, making me jump back. I looked at her, concern etched on my face, and noticed her inhaling sharply. Instinctively, I lifted my shirt, revealing a tattoo of a white wolf, one I immediately recognized as hers.

Hope mirrored me, lifting her shirt to reveal a black wolf tattoo. The moment she saw mine, her wolfish eyes lit up, and I could hear a low growl rumbling in her chest.

Hope's POV

Seeing Josie's mark stirred something primal inside me, a reaction I hadn't fully understood until she called my name, snapping me back to reality.

"I think I'm going to call my Aunt Freya for help," I said, trying to mask the unease creeping in.

Josie sat up suddenly, worry flickering across her face. I couldn't help but find it endearing.

"Baby, it's going to be okay. I promise she'll love you," I reassured her.

"You think so?" Her voice was soft, hesitant, reminiscent of the first time we met when she was unsure of herself.

"I know so, my love," I smiled, watching her face transform into a radiant grin. I pulled her into a hug, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of her head.

After a moment, I called Aunt Freya through astral projection.

"Hi, Aunt Freya!" I chirped, excitement bubbling over.

"Hello, darling! And who is this beautiful lady?" she asked warmly.

I turned to Josie and then back to Freya. "This is my wonderful girlfriend, Jossette."

"Hello! You can just call me Josie," she replied, her shyness fading as she warmed to the conversation.

"Well, hello, Josie! Hope, my niece, is treating you right?" Freya teased.

"Hey, hey, hey! Can we get back on topic, please?" I interjected.

"Of course! So, what's going on, Hope?"

"A tattoo just appeared on both of us," I explained, heart racing.

Freya's expression shifted to concern. "What do they look like?"

We both revealed our tattoos, tension thickening as we awaited her reaction.

Josie's POV

As the conversation unfolded, I felt myself relax, seeing how much Freya genuinely cared for Hope. It made me like her even more. Though she didn't have immediate answers, she promised to do more research before we wrapped up the call.

"So, what do you want to do?" I asked, trying to shift the focus back to us.

"Um... do you want to tell your dad about the whole wolf tattoo thing?" Hope asked tentatively.

I realized we hadn't considered the implications of telling my dad. "How about we wait to see what Aunt Freya says first?" I suggested.

Hope nodded, thoughtful.

We decided to head to the cafeteria. Approaching a back table, Lizzie's voice rang out, calling for me to sit with her. I hesitated, but Hope insisted, mentioning some "sister time."
