Bucket List #69 - I want to meet somebody famous and the brag about them to my friends. I mean, they do it to me so it's only fair, right?

"I'll take the cheesy macaroni with chicken."
"Anything to drink, sir?"
"Just water. No lemon. Thank you."
I handed the waiter the menu and smiled. He smiled back, happily walking back to put in my order.
I looked around the small cafe. It reminded my of Alex. Damn, everything reminds me of Alex. It's been how many months? Exactly. It's like I can't get her out of my mind.
She's everywhere. I think of her when I wake up, go to bed, eat, sleep, and even when I'm in the bathroom showering. She's there. She's taunting me.
She always promised she'd do that. She told me that when she died she'd come back and haunt me for all the bad things I did to her.
Of course, she was teasing at the time but that promise felt so surreal now.
I even imagined her sitting across from me.
She's wearing a white dress with thin straps. It fell all the way to above her knees, and her hair was covering her ears. It reminded me so much of our date when I took her to a restaurant on the beach.
I miss her.
"Jennifer! Jennifer over her!"
I looked over at the front of the tiny restaurant. There was a semi-tall girl with blonde hair that fell to the middle of her back. She had men with flashing cameras follow her into the restaurant.
"Please, can I just enjoy a meal in peace?" She groaned. The men kept flashing their cameras.
"Jennifer, is it true that you were cheating on Brad with 3 guys? Jennifer, is it true that you buy your instagram followers? Jennifer is it true that you stuff your bra-"
"I'm going to ask you all to leave." The owner said, ushering the men outside.
"Thank you, ma'am." The girl said, smiling at her. She scanned the restaurant.
"Slow day?"
"Something like that." The woman said, walking back towards the counter. The girl sat down two tables away from me and picked the menu lying on the table.
She looked around the room again. Her eyes locked on mine.
Those eyes. They looked so familiar.
"Hi, I'm Jennifer." She said, smiling at me.
"Ethan." I replied back.
"Not to sound snobby, but I'm actually surprised that you don't know me."
"I don't really listen to music, watch TV, or do that stuff anymore."
"Oh, I see. Sorry to sound snobby. I just, everyone follows me everywhere and it's getting really annoying."
"I know the feeling." I said, looking down at my hand.
Not everyone follows me, but I know I had one follower. I imagined her eyeing Jennifer, giving her a look that said, "Back off, he's mine."
