Emma Raphael is perfect. She is beautiful, rich and smart. When she was young, she overheard people say what a perfect couple Christopher Cosgrove, the son of oil tycoon Richard Cosgrove, and she made. And why wouldn't they?
But her perfect fairyta...
It was here. The big day. And Emma was going nuts! She had been up since 7 and had been running up and down the stairs ensuring all was going as planned. The caterers were to arrive around 11 and the tables were to be set up and arranged properly before that time. Not to mention they were falling short on Chinese lanterns causing Emma two trips to a nearby store to get them all. Julie was at the restaurant supervising the order and assured her that all was well there. She almost had a panic attack when she noticed the table cloths were a slightly darker shade than the ones she had ordered until Cheryl convinced her she liked these better.

Upstairs, the bride and groom were getting ready. The makeup artist had also been slightly late much to everyone’s chagrin. All day shouts of “Where’s my dress?”, “I can’t find my tie!” and “Which one looks better?” echoed throughout the house.
Emma herself looked like a mess and wondered when she would get the chance to go and get ready. The ceremony was to start at 12.30 pm and as she glanced at the clock, she saw it was 11 already.
“Where are the darn caterers?” she thought to herself in annoyance.
“Emma! Emma! The bride wants you!” she heard a distant call from upstairs.
“Coming!” she yelled back.
She hurried upstairs and entered the room to see all the bridesmaids surrounding Cheryl as she sat there looking like an angel.
“Oh Cheryl! You look beautiful,” Emma gasped.
Cheryl blushed a little and stood up, looking around at all her friends and saying, “I just wanted you guys to know I could never have done this without you. All of you are so special to me. Thank you so much for all your support. I love you guys!”
Tears welled in Cheryl’s eyes as she said the last line causing everyone to surround her, hugging and kissing her. The last to go was Emma.
Cheryl pulled her into a tight hug and whispered in her ear, “Thank you so much for everything Emma! Today wouldn’t have been possible without you. For Jake’s sake, I hope you catch my bouquet tonight!”
She burst into a fit of giggles as Emma pulled away and looked down sheepishly.
There was a knock on the door and Jake peeked in. “Just wanted to see Cher before the ceremony,” he muttered, his ears turning pink at the bridesmaids’ united echo of “Aw…”
Cheryl stepped forward and threw her arms around her brother’s neck. The ladies all stepped out of the room giving the siblings some time to talk with Emma glancing wistfully at him as she did.
As she walked out, she heard Julie’s voice calling out to her. She immediately rushed downstairs. Luckily the caterers had arrived. After explaining to them where everything was to go, she rushed upstairs to take a shower and get ready.
