So this story is kind of based on true life and kinda fiction. Won't tell you which parts are which though lol. Anyway, enjoy and please comment and vote otherwise I might think I'm wasting my time and stop writing and no one likes an incomplete story!
Chapter 1 A new experience
Growing up, I had always been an unconventional character. I guess you could call me a tomboy really. I grew up on a farm and spent my days building tree houses and hanging out with all the boys that lived on the neighbouring farms. We rode our bmx's.... remember those? And went fishing and hunting for small game just for the fun of it.
I was completely sport mad and competed in every sport that was available at school. I excelled at sprinting and hockey and basically lived for my sport in the afternoon. Academics weren't really on my list of priorities but I had a good average despite my lack of interest.
It used to really piss my friends off that I was a year younger than them and seemed to cruise though school without much difficulty. Guess I was just one of the lucky ones who didn't really need to study very hard to get good grades.
After school I managed to get a bursary to study teaching so that I could carry on coaching sport, which was after all my first love, and what better way to continue that love than to be able to inspire young kids to develop a love for sport the way I had.
I was only 17 when I left my small town and headed for the bright lights of the city to study. What a culture shock that was! I had always been very sociable though and quickly got into the partying ways that were a standard way of living in college.
Anyway, enough about my past, let's get down to how I turned gay at the age of 25.
Once I started teaching back in my home town, I joined the local hockey club to keep fit and carry on playing my beloved hockey. We were a small group of players and often struggled to make up a team to play against some of the neighbouring towns.
As I pulled into the parking lot for practice......late as usual, I really hated warmup and fitness drills, I noticed quite a few new faces on the team, including a pair of identical twins. Coach blew on his whistle and we quickly assembled in the middle of the field.
"Good warm up everyone," coach said as I snickered to myself. Thank goodness I was late, warm ups had apparently been a real killer today according to one of my friends. "Welcome to all the new players from Dunkfeld. They are also struggling to get a full team together and so we have decided to join the teams to make up a full team to enter into the league."
Everyone cheered and started introducing themselves to each other. I wandered over and starting chatting with the twins. It turned out that they were a few years younger than me and were as obsessed with hockey as I was.
Practice was soon over and we all headed to the pub that was conveniently located on the sports grounds where we played. We had a few drinks and exchanged numbers and then made our seperate ways home.
I felt strange that evening as I climbed into bed. Within 2 hours of meeting the twins, Lacey and Leanne, we had become best friends. I couldn't get Lacey out of my mind and I just couldn't understand why.
I arrived at practice late again on Thursday, this time not intentionally, to find everyone chatting excitedly about something. "Hey Julia," Lacey called over to me. "Did you hear the news? We're going on a tour to the city for a porvincial hockey tournament!"
I ran over to the twins and excitedly high fived them. "That sounds awesome!" I replied. "When do we leave?"
The tour had been arranged for the following weekend and the twins and I had aagreed to drive together in my car. I was really excited and I couldn't wait for the weekend. 'Why am I so excited?' I asked myself, 'It's not the first tour you've been on?'
The weekend arrived soon enough and we all met at the hockey club while everyone packed and discussed travelling and sleeping arrangements. We were sleeping at a guest house and each room accomodated 2 people. Lacey immediately booked a room for her and I and I could feel the excitement mount as she said this. Why was I so excited???? She had a fiance and I was dating some random guy I had met a few weeks ago.
