I roll out of bed and lazily walk into the bathroom. I get a shower and brush my teeth before heading back to my room and putting on clean work clothes which consists of a pair of black Adidas joggers and a training top. I put on white trainer socks and trainers and go downstairs and have breakfast. Once I'm finished, I jog back to my room to grab my phone and ID from the nightstand. I grab the keys and put on my Manchester United coat before heading out the door and getting in my car and driving to work.

You are probably wondering what my job is so I'll tell you. I am a physiotherapist for arguably the biggest club in the world. Manchester United. I have been working for them for only 2 months and it is the best job in the world. Every single person there is so kind, sure Jose Mourinho can be quite scary at times but after a little while you will get used to him and just learn to go along with what he is saying.

I park my car in an empty spot and make my way to the grounds. I greet the receptionist and go get to work. I walk into the cafeteria and Jesse comes up to me straight away and gives me a big hug. Jesse and Marcus are my 2 best friends here. They are both so sweet and funny and they made me feel so welcome and at home when I first started working here. I was the only woman physio so I felt slightly alone but they made me realise that working with them is better than working with anyone else. I owe them everything.

I go and sit down with him and say hi to Marcus as well as Luke and David who he is sitting with.

"Your not going to eat today Alyssa?" David asks from across the table.

"I ate before I left mine so I'm not hungry" I cleared up then we started talking about the games to come. We are playing Juventus in 2 days. Juventus. The team Cristiano Ronaldo plays for. I'm so nervous and I'm not the one who has to play the match. It's going to be a difficult game, I know. But I think these lads could win if they go into the match with the right mind set.

They finish eating and begin to make their way out onto the training grounds. I take Luke with me because he mentioned that he is experiencing a little pain and discomfort in his thigh. It was probably nothing major just a bit of cramp but that I would take a look just to be on the safe side of things. We can't lose someone to injury this close to a big game.

He sat down in the chair and I started massaging his leg.

"Well it feels fine so I don't think it is anything to worry about, probably just a little bit of cramp. Just be careful in training and I will take another look after to make sure nothing has changed but I'm almost positive that you will be able to play in the game against Juventus" I knew he wanted to play that game. I mean every single player did.

This will be my first big game for the club and I am so excited. I have been a Manchester United supporter since I was little. I still remember when Cristiano Ronaldo used to play for us, what a sad day it was when he left. Now I have to play against him. I may end up meeting him and my family are so jealous.

"There you guys are, what's going on?" The head physio John had just walked into the room.

"Luke told me earlier that he was feeling pain and discomfort in his leg so I thought I would just check it out to make sure it was nothing major. Nothing feels wrong so it was probably just cramp but to be on the safe side I told him to take it easy in training and that I will check him out later today"

"Okay, yea definitely take it easy and me or Alyssa will check you after"

We all got up after this and made our way to the training grounds. I walked to Jose and explained the situation to him.

"Okay thank you for that Alyssa. By the way I want you to be pitch side for all the games starting Sunday. Is that okay with you?" Jose said turning away from the lads to face me. I had been pitch side for the past 3 games since one of the guys who usually does that job has recently had a baby so he is off for 2 weeks. I did not expect that this would become permanent.

"Yes, that's great, thank you! But can I ask, why do you want me?"

"Well Alyssa, you are a very talented physio, I have never seen you make a mistake and you didn't at your last job. Since Mark has asked to step down to spend more time with his family, who better to replace him with than you" I felt honoured and appreciated so I gave him a massive hug to say thank you. He isn't much of a hugger but he gladly accepted this one.

We went back to watching training and I couldn't stop smiling the whole time. Being pitch side meant I would get a pay rise because although it is my job, I am giving up my own time to be at this match. This also means that i am definitely going to be meeting Cristiano Ronaldo on Sunday which makes me 10x more excited for the game but also slightly more nervous.

What will I say if I do meet him? Will it be inappropriate to ask for a photo with him? Will it be inappropriate to ask for an autograph? Will it be inappropriate to hug him? I mean he is the best footballer in the world. Some people may disagree but you would be stupid if you did. Sure Lionel Messi is amazing but in my opinion Ronaldo is better.

Training finishes and we make our way to the physio room. I am checking on Luke Shaw when Jesse comes up behind me.

"Why were you so happy in training Lyss?"

"Jose asked me to be pitch side physio permanently from Sunday" I said not being able to hold back my smile.

"That's so great!!!" He said hugging me.

"What is?" Ander Herrera came walking over.

"Alyssa is going to be the pitch side physio permanently" Jesse explained for me.

"That's great Lyssa" he said hugging me from behind. He let go and I turned and smiled at him.

"Okay Luke, everything seems to be okay but go home and rest for the remainder of the day and I'll make sure nothing changes in the morning." He sits up and thanks me.

I go through everyone else and make sure they are all okay. After about an hour everyone leaves which means I am free to leave. I go to my car and drive back home and spend the rest of the day chilling out watching TV.
