I was so confused until that moment. I couldn't possibly figure out who Hemingway was. Was it Ethan or was it Blake? Very different possibilities, but there was only one right answer, and I can't believe I didn't figure it out sooner, it was right in front of me, It was so obvious!
Anyway, you probably have no idea what I'm talking about, so let's start from the beginning.
Chapter 1-
-We should get boyfriends.-
I was lying in my bed with my best friend Liv, we were just staring at the ceiling like we always did when I just dropped that bomb on her.
-Excuse me?- Liv said.
-I'm just saying, it would be great to have boyfriends, we could double date...-
I couldn't even finish the sentence when Liv shut me off saying
-Sadie, that's the most ridiculous idea I've heard in my entire life. Why do you want a boyfriend, we are enjoying life as two gorgeous single women!-
-Olivia- She hates it when I call her Olivia. -Just because every boy in school is in love with you doesn't mean that I am enjoying being single, in fact, I'm quite HATING IT.-
-Well, you go ahead and get a boyfriend then, but don't come crying back when the asshole breaks your heart.-
-Fine-
-Fine-
-GREAT-
And that was it, the only time Liv and I ever disagreed was in the boyfriend department, I wanted one, she didn't. I just dropped it, because I knew there was no way I was gonna be able to change her mind, but who knows, maybe someday she will fall for someone, and I'm gonna be the one she will come crying to. Just kidding, hope he isn't an asshole.
After that, Liv crawled off my bedroom's window and went home (She lived just across the street, so it wasn't that hard), I had to study for my biology test, which was tomorrow by the way, but I couldn't focus. I was stuck with the thought of "Why doesn't anybody like me". I had had multiple crushes throughout my school life, but not one of them had liked me back. I haven't even had my first kiss yet. I know, PATHETIC. I know I look like a nerd who only cares about her GPA and studying, I may even look boring, but in reality, that's just not me. I only do that to please my parents. They want me to become a doctor, but what I really want to be is an architect (Not that I'm ever gonna confront them about it though), maybe one day.
The next day started as usual. I woke up, got showered, got dressed in my ripped jeans, my hoodie, jacket, and my iconic Vans Old School (I have been wearing the same pair of shoes since middle school, it's kind of part of my personality by now.) I had breakfast and then I got in my car to go to school. As usual, I had to wait for Liv, she's always five minutes late, she knows I hate it when people are late. Anyway, we left for school.
-Why do I always drive?- I said to Liv. -You have a perfectly good car as well, and If I'm not wrong you also have a driver's license.-
-Why would I drive when you can ride me? We can spend time together. Also, last time I drove us to school you complained all the way about what a bad driver I was. I have no intention of repeating that thank you very much.-
Liv seems like this cold, bitchy person. People always wonder how could we possibly be best friends. The truth is, that's just Liv's facade, she is an absolute nerd who loves to read and watch series. That's why we get along so well, I am too.
This is when my day got a little weird. When we arrived at school I received an email from the administration:
