I calmed down a little and then I saw Nicholas standing a few feet away.
-Why is he looking at us?- Said Liv.
-Because he wants anwers.-
-What do you mean?-
-He is the real Hemingway Liv.-
She went pale.
-What!?-
-He has been all along, and the only reason Blake told me he wasn't Hemingway is because Nicholas figured out I was Overwatch, and Blake was there.-
-You kidding me?-
-No, so I need to talk to him now. Give me a few minutes please.-
-Sure. Whatever you need.-
I walked to him, and he smiled. I couldn't have figured out it was him in a million years, but now I started to see it.
-Hi Nicholas-
-Please, call me Nick-
-Nick, sure-
-So... You didn't expected it to be me. Sorry if you are dissapointed.-
-No! I'm not dissapoited. I'm just surprised, that's all.- I said. -You are the one that should be dissapointed, I'm a mess-
-We are all a mess. Besides, you are a beatiful mess.-
I blushed. It was so weird, I had never talked to Nicholas, sorry, Nick, before, and yet it seemed like I knew him. I knew so much about him, probably more than anybody else in school.
Anyway, I changed the subject.
-So, how did you know it was me?-
-I have suspected it for a little while. First of all, there's only a few poeple that could have read books from Hemingway, not everyone is as smart as you. Also, I suspected you since the beggining when you said you played the piano. A few years ago I walked in the music room when you were there playing. You were amazing. You didn't notice I was there.-
-Wow, I can't believe you remember that.-
-Yeah. So, since I won, guess you owe me a date.-
-Look, I pay my debts, but I just finished a two months relationship with Blake, so I'm gonna need a little time. Hope that's okay?-
-I have all the time in the world-
-I'll see you around.-
The days went by, and I didn't see Blake at school. I don't know if he wasn't going, or if he was just avoiding me, and honestly, I didn't care. I saw Nick on the hallway a lot, he didn't talk to me, he was giving me the space I'd asked, but he still smiled when he saw me. I also saw Ethan.
Oh, Ethan. The only reason I stopped talking to him was because of Blake. He was always so good. And I screwed everything up.
-Earth to Sadie.- Said Liv.
We were at her house and we were talking about the Mascarade Ball that was this week.
-Yeah, sorry. I zoned out.-
-I noticed.-
-Well, so what are you and Levi wearing?-
-I want a red dress and one of those masks you hold with the stick.-
-You'll look amazing.-
-So will you. It doesn't matter that you don't have a date. We will have an awesome time.-
-You're right.-
-Also, I think you should wear the blue dress, it looks amazing on you.-
She was right, the blue dress I had bought was gorgeous, and I looked great on it. I had to stop thinking about Blake and just focus on myself.
-This ball is gonna be amazing.- I said.
-That's the spirit!-
I couldn't help it and I sent a text to Blake,
"Are you going to the dance?"
He didn't answer.
But then Ethan texted me.
"Hope to see you at the dance."
And I realized, I wanted to see him as well.
