It was 3:30 pm when the bell rang. I walked out of the classroom and standing outside by the door was Blake. His hair was wet, he must have been out of PE. He smelled good too. This was going to be a hard evening.
-Hey- He said.
-Hi-
-Ready to go?-
-I remember telling you that I would think about it.-
-Well, Have you? Thought about it?-
-Yes-
-And?-
-I'll go with you, but only a little while.-
-I can work with that-
We left school and went to the parking lot.
-Here we are- He pointed to his motorcycle.
-Hahaha, very funny. I'm not riding on that.-
-Why not?-
-I don't have a death wish, for starters.-
-Well, I don't have a car, so what do you suggest?-
-We can go in my car.-
-Fine, but I'm driving.-
I agreed, because at least I didn't have to ride on his bike, and we walked to my car.
-After you- He opened de passenger door for me. Impressive, this guy wasn't playing any games.
-Thanks. So where are we going?-
-It's a surprise.-
-Fine, whatever.-
He started driving, he looked so confident, like he knew my car by heart.
-You mind if I put music?-
-Go ahead.-
He put on a radio station I'd never heard before, it was really good.
Blake's hair looked so good against the wind, and he looked amazingly handsome. Well, he was indeed very handsome. I liked watching him drive.
-We are here.- He said.
-Where exactly are we?-
-My favorite place in the world.-
We were in an abandoned theatre. It looked like it had been closed for at least a decade, but when we got inside it was absolutely impeccable.
Blake went to fix the fuses, and in a second the whole theatre lighted up.
-It's beautiful.- I said.
-See? You would have missed it if you didn't come.-
-But why did you want me to come?-
He stopped staring at the theatre and looked me right in the eye.
-Do you really have to ask me that?-
I stood there not saying a word, I couldn't move or look away. It was like his grey eyes had me hypnotized.
-You are a mystery to me Williams. I see this facade of how you want people to see you, but I know that's not you, and I want to know the person behind all of that. She seems worth knowing.-
How did this annoying asshole turn into such a sweet gentleman in less than an hour? I didn't know what to say. He got ME, the queen of talking, speechless.
-You don't have to say anything. I know that's a lot, sorry.- Blake said.
-It's okay. I think the same about you. I think all that bad-boy face is just a smokescreen because you don't want people to know the real you.-
-What makes you think that?-
-The fact that when we are around people you act all tough and annoying, but now that we are alone you haven't said one annoying comment to me.-
He didn't answer, he just looked back to the theatre.
We just stood there, in silence for about two minutes.
-Do you want to go eat something.- He said. – I'm hungry.-
-Sure, what do you want to eat?.-
-Whatever you want.-
-You like pizza?-
-Who the hell doesn't like pizza?-
So we went to get pizza, and after that, he drove me home. He stepped out of the car, and again he opened the door for me.
-Thanks.- I said.
I just stood there, staring at him. We were incredibly close. Well, probably not that close, but it felt like only an inch was standing between us. He looked at me so intensely. He leaned a little closer, but before he had the chance to do anything I ran off saying "Thank you so much for today, I had a great time!". I know, I'm pathetic.
