I layed in my bed for like an hour thinking about what had just happened. Of course, after that my first instinct was to call Liv.

-Hey- I said.

-Hey-

-Can you come over?-

-Sure.-

And literally two minutes later I had Liv crawling through my window.

-What's up girl?-

-I just hung out with Blake-

-For real?-

-Yes-

-And what was it like?-

-Not what I was expecting, he was just so sweet-

-Correct me if I'm wrong... But isn't that a good thing?-

-Yes! It was great...-

-But?-

-I think he might have tried to kiss me... and I might have ran off-

Liv sat there in silence for a second.

-And... Did you want him to kiss you?-

-No!, I mean... maybe, I mean... I don't know!-

-Well, you kinda have to figure that out sooner rather than later-

-Yeah... I know-

And then I remembered.

-CRAP!-

-WHAT?-

-I have another date tomorrow! With Ethan! What am I gonna do?-

-You can reschedule-

-No, he'll think I don't want to go out with him.-

-Do you?-

-Yes, I do. He's so nice to me, and he likes the same things I like.-

-Well, then you have to go.-

-Yes. Right. I'll go, and I'll keep Blake far far away from my mind.-

-Like that's gonna be easy.-

The next day at school I completely avoided running into Blake, I was humiliated enough. The day went by, slowly. Incredibly slowly. But then the last bell rang and we could leave. I spotted Ethan in the hallway, waiting for me. He was smiling.

-Hi Ethan-

-Hi Sadie, you ready to go?-

-Yep, born ready- Born ready? What does that even mean?

He giggled. Nevermind, it's cool.

We started walking and then Ethan said

-Are you comfortable walking to my house? I only live ten minutes away.-

-Yes, sure. I love walking.- Seriously what's wrong with me?!

-Cool-

We started walking and then Ethan started telling me about the book he was gonna lend me. It sounded really good. We keep talking... And laughing, and talking, and laughing. He is such an easy person to talk to. As we were walking I accidentally touched Ethan's hand and we both blushed. It's funny to see him so embarrassed. He seemed nervous, I don't know why, we had talked before.

-Here it is- He said.

-Wow, your house is so pretty.-

It was, he had an enormous, beautiful house.

-Thanks. Please, come in- He opens the door for me, another gentleman.

-So, my room is upstairs, but would you like something to eat, or drink?-

-Anything you have is fine, thanks-

So Ethan made us some grilled cheese sandwiches and we went upstairs to his room.

I have to say it was nothing like I had pictured. It did have a bookshelf with a lot of books, but I was expecting a lot of nerd stuff, maybe some posters, or funko pops, or swords. But no, nothing. His room was very simple, there was his bed, his nightstand, his desk, bookshelf, and A GUITAR!

-You play the guitar!!!!???-

He laughed -Yes, I have for a while, I'm not very good though-

I was DYING.

-Could you play something for me?? Pleaseee?-

After my sad puppy eyes he couldn't resist and gave up.

-Fiine, what would you like me to play?-

-Could you play something from Shawn Mendes? It's fine if you don't know anything...-

-I love Shawn Mendes!-

-Really?-

-Yes! I know a lot of songs actually, let me play you one.-

When I thought Ethan couldn't possibly be more adorable.

He started to play the song "Imagination", which is not very well known, so that did impress me. I think it could have been a hint.

"In my dreams,

 you're with me,

We'll be everything I want us to be,

And from there, who knows.

Maybe this could be the night that we kiss

For the first time,

Or perhaps it's me and my

imagination."

And after he hit that last chord he looked at me, and I felt like he had meant every single word.
