After both of my loves went into their forced sleep I returned once again to my Faerie Realm to visit Claude.

"You must miss me a lot with so many visits lately." Claude teased upon spotting me.

"I have another question for you."  I said apprehensively.

"Yes Child." Claude said.

"The Vampire Authority has decreed I be turned or Eric shall meet his true death.  I don't want to be a vampire.  I don't want to give up my magic, my connection to nature, my sun, you, Faerie, everything that is me.  As a halfling can I even be turned?  Or would my body reject it and I'd die?  What would happen?" I asked anxiously.

I'd told Eric we'd cross the bridge after giving Bill his true death but I only said it to give myself time to find the answers to these questions. I figured if it was all bad news I'd be forced to stay in Faerie.  I figured Eric can't be given his true death if I "died" during transition.  If they can never find me because I'm not in their realm than they can't doubt Eric.  I hope it didn't come to that because I need my mates.

"Come. Sit.  Story time!" Claude said as he patted the spot next to him and then clapped his hands excitedly.

I obediently sat beside my godfather as I awaited his answers.

"Today is the story of Warlow.  In your realm he'd be known as the second oldest vampire as he was the first created by Lilith and he's the third oldest supernatural.  Only one of these two is true.  He is the first vampire created by Lilith and technically he is the oldest vampire as he murdered Lilith for what she did to him.  Rightfully so as he killed his entire Faerie family as he had no control upon awakening.  Which since Lilith met her true death at his hands that means he's the second oldest supernatural.  However, that is again only in your realm.  He isn't the first Fae obviously since he had a mother and father that he murdered in his blood lust.  We've always been here in our realm that Danu created when creating us." Claude explained.

"So we can be turned, even full Fae?  So what happens to us?" I asked nervously.

"You'll be fine.  Warlow is still Fae.  He's a halfling now like you.  A hybrid like yourself.  Half vampire, half Fae.  He is like you in he has all the Fae abilities and he can still live normal.  He isn't forced to sleep during the day.  He's still living and breathing.  He can be in the sun.  He can eat, and does need to eat.  But he also needs blood.  He has the vampire speed.  I suppose that's all the vampire adds as Fae can already compel.  Rumor has it he can compel vampires so the Fae/vampire combination seems to make your compelling ability stronger.  So this is what would happen to you.  You'd retain your half Fae genetic makeup.  So you don't have to leave your mates and stay in Faerie forever." Claude said with amusement in his eyes.

"Did I say that worry out loud?" I asked.

"No but your worry was so heavy you sent it telepathically without knowing." Claude said.

"Hm.  Being able to compel vampires would be very useful for what we're about to do.  We need to kill a very old, ancient vampire.  So I guess I shouldn't wait to be turned especially since I'll still be myself." I pondered out loud.

"You're going after the vampire Russell Edgington?" Claude asked.

"How? Wha-?" I asked.

"Your thoughts again about an old vampire who has an army of werewolves.  We know a lot here in Faerie.  And yes that edge could help you as he's three thousand years old.  Older than your mate Godric." Claude said with a nod.

"Ok, then I'll be turned as soon as my mates wake up." I said decisively.

"All I ask is for you not to return here for a while until you're sure your blood lust is under control." Claude requested serious for once.
