We were on our way to Russell's and I was talking nonsensical things as I tend to do when Eric interrupted.
"We're not going there to make Mississippi mud pies. We're going there to murder Bill and an ancient vampire. Stop acting like this is a trip to a fancy resort." Eric grouched.
"What put his panties in a twist?" I whispered to Godric.
"I believe that was you this evening before we left. Quite literally." Godric said.
"I don't wear panties." Eric said.
"Fine, fine. Your briefs if you want to be all technical about it for your manhood which I adore. You have a pretty penis." I said.
"Thank you." Eric said mollified.
"Hey speaking of, should we stop for a roadside bang?" I asked.
"Oh my fucking Lilith. We're almost there. Can't you hold it?" Eric asked.
"I never got to have this normal childhood moment due to growing up in Faerie. Thank you for that." I said happily.
"I don't think that's a normal childhood moment. When parents say that they mean hold your pee business. Eric mean hold your horniness." Godric explained.
"Close enough." I said with a shrug.
Eric simply pinched the bridge of his nose and exhaled while I grinned.
"Oh. This is what old money is always talking about when they complain about the nouveau riche. Russell's home is very gaudy and unattractive." I said as we pulled up.
"Speaking of being technical, Russell would be considered old money. One of the oldest in fact. So really this whole time they looked down their noses on the nouveau riche they were in fact the gaudy ones. Though honestly both parties tend to be gaudy." Godric said.
"If you got it, flaunt it. I mean I don't agree. I'd live in a garden if I could. If it wouldn't kill you both during the sunny times. Rumor has it that the Faerie sun doesn't hurt vampires. I say when we retire, we retire to Faerie. I'll create us our own pocket like Claude did for us to live happily ever after in." I said.
"I would love to see the sun again." Godric said dreamily.
"Time to mask your heartbeat and breathing my love." Eric said.
I used my glamour to make myself appear pale. Then I masked my heartbeat and need to breathe. Once I was done we approached Russell's double front doors and knocked. A servant let us in and Russell soon approached us from his grand staircase.
"Hello. And what do I owe the honor of this visit?" Russell asked.
"Your majesty. I'm in search of a vampire from my area. A Mr. Bill Compton." Eric said with a bow.
"I see. And the reason?" Russell asked.
"It's a delicate matter but the Authority are asking for him." Eric said.
"Oh why hello. Who do we have here?" A vampire asked as they glided down the same staircase.
"Mr. Northman this is my Consort Talbot Angelis. Darling this is Mr. Eric Northman a sheriff and his party. You'll introduce your party won't you?" Russell asked.
"Of course. This is my Maker Godric and our progeny Magnolia. I don't want to cut pleasantries short but I really do require Bill Compton." Eric said politely.
"Talbot be a dear and fetch Mr. Bill Compton for Mr. Northman." Russell said.
Talbot left quite unhappily and could hear a tantrum being thrown.
