I woke up that morning at about 7 am. The other girls were still sleeping, as usual, so I took a shower and got dressed up to entertain myself. I felt more productive today, so I took a walk by the black lake and picked some very pretty flowers. When I got back inside, I grabbed a sausage from the great hall and ate it as I walked around the halls. I eventually got bored of walking so I went back to the common room to see Cho. I walked into the common room and plopped down beside her.
"Hello, Y/n," she smiled at me. "Hey, Cho!"
Our so-called conversation ended there and I got bored, so I went to my dorm to read. Then, out of nowhere, I got the great idea to get up and walk around, so I could see Lucius. Not really just to talk to him, but see him. And without him seeing me.
I walked around for a good half-hour before coming across the library. I decided to take a break and read a book, but when I walked in, Lucius was there. I walked over to a bookshelf, trying to avoid eye contact or looking at him. I didn't want him to look at me.
He looked at me.
He walked a few steps toward the bookshelf I was at.
"Hello, y/n," he said in his normal voice.
I nodded at him. "Lucius. Hello."
I didn't want to face him after the dream I had, because I was afraid he could use legilimens or something.
"Don't forget you have detention later today," he told me.
"Yes, I remember."
I picked a book and found a table away from him. After reading for 40 minutes, I put the book back. I couldn't get into it for the life of me.
"Not able to like it?" a voice asked behind me. I jumped and turned around.
Of course. It had to be Lucius. I mentally rolled my eyes.
"No, it's very cliche. I'd rather jump into the lake than finish that book," I came up with something and smiled, which made Lucius chuckle.
"Yes, the book is very boring overall," he replied.
"Wait, you have read it?" my face turned surprised.
Lucius nodded.
"Mhm. Feels like ages ago, but I did. I don't read much anymore," he smiled a little.
Lucius used to read a lot? Now that's unexpected, I thought
"Well, I better get going. Lunch will be soon and I don't want to miss it, because I'm starving," I waved goodbye to him, and he waved back.

I sat with Luna and Cho on the sofa in the common room until lunch arrived, and we walked together to the great hall. I had a salad and a sandwich. In the middle of lunch I needed to use the restroom, so I told my friends I would be back and left.
I walked to the bathroom in silence and looked at the stone floor most of the way. I did what I needed to and left. On my way back, Lucius walked by me. He said a 'hello'. I nodded, being reminded of the dream.
I'll never be able to forget that, huh? I rolled my eyes.

After lunch, my friends and I walked around the halls and ended up in the courtyard.
While we were sitting on the edge of the fountain, Lucius came out and interrupted our conversation by clearing his throat. Cho looked over at me and I saw the look in her eyes, it was like she was saying 'there's your husband'. I rolled my eyes at her.
"I need to borrow Miss L/n for a moment," Lucius said. My friends nodded, and I stood up, following him into the dim halls.
He comes to a stop outside his office door and turns to me, his face sympathetic.
"Erm, it's just a tad messy... Narcissa paid me a visit today and you can say things went... wrong," Lucius informed me.
I nodded. Just clean the mess, then be done. How bad can it be?
Lucius pushed open the door and stepped aside. I tore my eyes away from him and peered inside. My eyes widened and my jaw dropped.
it. was. a. mess
There was paper all over the room, his bookshelves were emptied, and the books were now on the floor. His desk was cleared completely, everything from it on the floor. Broken glass was scattered everywhere, one of the leather armchairs was tipped over, and a giant vase that was filled with flowers and water now lay smashed on the floor.
I looked back at Lucius, who had a worried expression on his face. I felt bad for the man.
"I'm sorry about this, Lucius. I will get it cleaned up. No worries," I assured him.
"Thank you. Truly," he smiled weakly.
He showed me to a closet that had supplies in it, and I got to work. Lucius helped me even after I told him it was okay. Together, we gathered all of the papers and had them sorted into the right piles. Lucius fixed the vase and cleaned up the water. I put all the books back where they go.
In the end, his office looked brand new, as if nobody had destroyed it. Lucius thanked me, and since I had helped him so much, he canceled my detention, then I left.
When I got back to the common room, I told my friends what had happened. They were shocked that she would do that, and I told them about what I saw her and Snape doing.
I had dinner, then played games with Cho and Luna in our dorm. We went to bed late that night.
