The next morning I woke up early and got ready for my classes. This was the last week, and then it would be winter break. I wanted to get Lucius something for Christmas since I still felt bad about the problems with Narcissa.
I sat in the common room by the fire and waited a while before walking to my first class, Defense Against The Dark Arts. The class was easy but boring.
After all of my classes, I lay around in the common room. I was supposed to help Lucius today at 4:30, but it was only 3. I decided to clean up before I went, so I showered and brushed my hair. I put on a beige sweater and some brown pants, and also the same white shoes I wore previously. I found a gold necklace with a little butterfly on it, along with medium-sized gold hoop earrings. I tied my hair back in my regular hairstyle, a low bun.
Once I was finished getting ready, I left, and it was around 4:17.
I arrived exactly 10 minutes later, at 4:27. I knocked on the door softly, and I heard footsteps approaching. Lucius opened the door and stepped aside to let me in. I walked through the doorway and stopped once inside.
"Hello, Lucius," I greeted him. "Hello, Y/n," he replied, smiling a little.
He didn't ask for much, just that I make sure the books are organized right and his plants are watered. When I was done I said my goodbyes and left. Lucius seemed down today.

Winter break was nearly here. The Yule Ball was coming in a few days, and I didn't have a date. It's not like the only person I wanted to go with could go with me anyways. Cho was going with Harry and Luna was going with Neville.
I decided I would go anyways, so I went dress shopping with Cho. Luna had a dress she made with her father. It was short, yellow, and had ruffle-looking things.
__
On the way to Hogsmeade, Cho pointed out all kinds of animals. I just nodded and buried myself deeper into my scarf. I couldn't stop thinking about not being able to go with Lucius.
"So, what color dress are you wanting?" Cho asked me. I snapped out of my thoughts. I hadn't really thought about it.
"Uhh... I'm not sure. Haven't decided. How about you?" I replied.
"Mmmm... Probably dark blue," she answered.
"Sweet," I told her.
We arrived at Hogsmeade and went right to a dress shop. Cho started looking at the dark blue dresses, and I kind of just looked wherever.
Cho didn't find any blue dresses she liked, but she did find a dark green one, so she bought it.
I didn't know what I was looking for, so I just got a black one.I remembered that I wanted to get Lucius a gift, so I ran to a store that had decorations, since most of his broke. I picked out a strange glass sphere that had a little stand. Inside it, there were little plants and flowers.
I also got him some ink and brand new quills because he seemed to be out the last time I saw him. Lastly, I bought him a ring that had a skull on it. I thought it would match his personality. It may not be much but I still wanted to get him something.
Cho and I got accessories for our ball outfits and then left Hogsmeade before we spent all of our money.
I went to bed that night feeling a little better since I had gotten a dress and a gift for Lucius. I will have to go back by myself the next day, though. I couldn't get Cho and Luna gifts with Cho there.

I woke up early and got ready. I left without anybody knowing.
I went to Hogsmeade to get a few more gifts.
I got Cho and Luna both a sweater that had their names on them. I also got them both necklaces. Luna's was chunky because she told me she loved them. Cho's was pretty normal. It had a ruby pendant on it. I got Luna earrings that were bowls of pudding. Cho got a bracelet instead, and it had the first initial of all 3 of us on it
I got them both lots of sweets and wrapped up my trip before I hurt my pockets too much. When I got back, I wrapped the gifts and put them in my trunk.
I hung out with my friends the rest of the day until it was time for me to clean. I got ready a little bit and set out for Lucius' office. I didn't bother to knock. He wasn't there, he told me that he had some shopping to do for the day, so he couldn't keep me company.
He left a list of things to do:
---------------------
Sweep floor
Wipe down surfaces
Water plants
---------------------
It was a pretty simple list, so I got to work. I swept the floor with a broom from the closet, then I got a bucket of water and cleaner. I wiped all of the tables and bookshelves down. After that, I watered the plants.
I got done quickly, so I was bored. My eyes traveled around the room and landed on the spiral stairs.
No.
I made myself think of other things, but eventually, I gave in. Slowly, I walked up the stairs. At the top, it looked the same. Sofa, table, display case, door.
The door to his living quarters.
no. I cant.
I tiptoed towards the door. I turned the knob easily and cracked it open slightly. It was his living quarters.
There was a kitchen and living room, and also a simple table. The room was all dark shades. I stepped inside. I walked further in, there was a hallway across from me. I quietly made my way over to the door that I assumed was his bedroom. I opened the door and walked in. It was also done in dark colors, but it had dark greens, too.
There was a large closet and bathroom attached as well.
It was overall a nice place. I realized I had been in there a while, so I left the quarters.
Just in time, too. As soon as I got back to the office, the door swung open and Lucius came inside.
