The rest of Nia's day went rather smoothly after having dealt with Umbridge. In Potions class with Professor Snape she was paired with a Gryffindor boy named Seamus Finnigan, to which Draco Malfoy laughed at. Clearly Nia was missing out on something but she was later informed by Seamus himself his potions usually never go to plan and end up exploding in his face. "Maybe I can help you with your potions problem later on," Nia replied. She didn't want Seamus's brewery to explode in her face either.

Next was Charms class with Professor Flitwick. Nia loved Charms class after learning Flitwick was an expert duelist. What no one knew was that Nia was an effortless and graceful dueler. She learned to block spells and protect herself at a young age, her third year to be exact, so her past can't repeat again. Nia Knight is, in all aspects, better than any seventh year. Because she has to be.

Her free period came in a whirl and ended quickly. She walked around the humongous library, making a mental list of which books she wanted to check out for later use. Once she noticed the halls of the castle start to fill up with students she headed out the library and towards History of Magic, remembering the directions Harry Potter gave her to get to Professor Binns' classroom. Theo took a seat next to Nia in that class with a smile. He asked her how her classes were and charmingly acted as such.

The evening had arrived and every student was packing into the Great Hall for dinner. Nia strode into the Great Hall with Theo at her side, in a debate about the better term used for non magic folk. The debate did start off with valid points but soon it turned into lighthearted opinions.

"No-maj is two words. I don't understand why anyone would want to say two words and imagine how much work it would be to write that down?" Theo says whilst taking a seat beside Nia.

"Well muggle sounds boring if you ask me!" Nia states, "at least no-maj is a self explanatory word!"

Theo opens his mouth to argue back until another voice is heard almost screaming in front of Nia's face. Her brown eyes turn to the front, only to find Malfoy staring back at her with an icy look on his face. "I don't like you in my house."

Nia almost laughs in his face. What is she supposed to do, cry? feed into his ego? Definitely not. "I'm so sorry you feel that way," Nia acts defeated before smirking, "but it's our house now."

"You need to take Slytherin seriously, Knight. We're clearly the superior house and there you go, a Slytherin getting detention on the first day!" Malfoy snarls in disgust, "how the utter fuck did you get into Slytherin? Seriously, with your big mouth you belong in Gryffindor!"

Nia blinks. She didn't know how to answer that. How did she get into Slytherin? Based on Salazar Slytherin's beliefs, he would have chopped his head off before ever letting a person like Nia Knight into his house. "I don't know, Malfoy. If it bothers you so much why don't you march up to Dumbledore's office, bring the sorting hat back, and beg for it to place me in Gryffindor! Apparently the damn hat has never messed up before!"
