Draco Malfoy goes through two different phases that ultimately lead to making Nia's life a realm of hell. Weeks pass by where he intentionally ignores her so she can feel a sense of relief. Then the next week he'd cast tricks on her nonstop, to which she would fire back at. And the bickering and the insults thrown at each other annoyed them more than it annoyed the rest of the class. Draco Malfoy hated Nia Knight.

Draco Malfoy hated Harry Potter and Nia Knight equally, in the matter of the weeks the girl has been here she has managed to rack up on his hate list. Filthy traitor, the boy would think to himself whenever he fired back a spell at Nia to which she'd ultimately block seamlessly. Nia had the worse end of Malfoy's wrath. The insults and the hexes thrown at each other would lead to only Nia being given detention and not the stupid Slytherin prince, courtesy of Unbridge.

It was currently a beautiful Thursday morning, to Nia's standards. The fifth year woke up earlier than usual, in search of a particular creature that often wanders the castle grounds and along the forest. She exited the building with her eyes scanning the ground in deep concentration. She stopped at the bridge because she found what critter she was looking for. Nia opened her bag slowly before she picked out a glass jar. Nia lightly scooped up the animal from the ledge of the bridge and placed it in the jar, closing it shut.

"Um–Nia...what are you doing there?"

Her body jolts up, surprised at the sudden voice from behind her. "Bloody hell!" Nia whirls around to the person, "Theo you can't just sneak up on me!"

"Sorry Nia," Theo sends her an apologetic grin, "you're a bit jumpy in the morning."

"Well I was catching this." Nia refers to the jar in her hands.

"A spider?" Theo questions with his eyebrow raised.

"I'm going to prank Malfoy," Nia declares triumphantly before beginning her walk back to the castle.

"Haven't you had enough detentions with Umbridge?" Theo walks by her side, dumbfounded by the revelation that is Nia Knight.

"I've only had three," Nia reassuringly says but even she loathes the idea of another one. Umbridge didn't have her write lines the last time, careful not to make a staff member suspicious of Nia the next day attending class with a bandaged hand.

"That's a lot, Knight. Also, did you just say bloody hell?" Theo teases the brunette, his head turning to catch her reaction.

Nia pauses. "This place is influencing me. Back to the spider, I'm going to place it in Malfoy's bag during breakfast. I'm also going to place a spell on it so he can't hurt it in case Malfoy decides to stomp on it. Or me."

"You do realize the bloke is a prefect? He and Parkinson can do anything they want," Theo states as they enter the Great Hall, to which they guide themselves towards the Slytherin table.
