James was happy. He and Regulus spent a lot of time together. Sirius was none the wiser that his best friend was going out with his brother. He just thought that James was tutoring Regulus. It was a few weeks later, and one person was not oblivious to James 'and Regulus' relationship. Severus Snape glared across the library at the two. His black eyes narrowed as Regulus laughed at something James said. They were sitting way too close to each other just to be friends. He knew something was up. Regulus Black seemed like a sensible 16 year old. He had everything going for him. He came from a respectable family, and could serve the Dark Lord easily. Why would he throw it all away for arrogant toerag James Potter? He slunk out of the library and back to the Common room. He pulled out a book, and waited for Regulus. The common room was bustling by the time Regulus got back. He shut his book and stood up. Regulus didn't notice him. He was talking to a couple of first years. Snape's blood boiled. He stormed toward Regulus. Regulus looked up, and rolled his eyes as he stopped in front of him. "Come to stick your big nose in my business again?" Snape pushed his greasy hair out of his face. "I know about you and Potter." Regulus paled. "I don't know what you're talking about." He said stiffly. "Have you no decency? James Potter is a bully. He is a bastard Gryffindor git. He doesn't care about us Slytherins. He's just playing with your heart. He's using you." Regulus rolled his eyes. "James is twice the man you are. YOU are a git. If you haven't noticed, he's stopped bullying you as often, and stopped pranking the daylights out of us. You just can't let go of grudges and have to make everyone as miserable as you. Now leave me alone, so I can enjoy the rest of my evening in peace." Snape was fuming. He went to his dorm. No one ever took him seriously. One day people were going to regret that. Starting with James Potter.
*I really don't like Snape. Happy holidays though!*
