Chapter Thirteen

Regulus was close to having an anxiety attack. James had suggested that since Remus, Peter, and Sirius were going to be out of the dorm, they could hang out there. Regulus, not being able to say no to James, agreed. They met in an abandoned classroom. "So how are we going to do this?" Regulus asked. James grinned, and pulled out a silver, shimmering fabric. Regulus did a double take. "Is that…" James smirked. "Yep! It's an invisibility cloak! You can wear it, until we get up to the dorm!" Regulus smiled at James' enthusiasm.  "Are you sure this will work? I'd rather not get in trouble today." James pulled him into a hug. "I'm positive." Regulus relaxed, and let James throw the cloak over him. Regulus looked down, and stifled a yelp. There was nothing there. All he could see was the stone floor. He looked at James. He was peeking out of the doorway. "All clear." He murmured. "Stay close to me and stay quiet." They made their way up to the Gryffindor tower. Regulus' heart felt like exploding. He felt like he was going to pass out, but he kept moving. They reached the portrait of the fat lady. James said the password, and they stepped into the Gryffindor common room. James said hello to a few people, then made his way up the steps into the 7th year boy's dormitory. Regulus followed. Once they got into the dorm, Regulus gingerly took the cloak off and handed it to James, who put it on his bed. They sat down on the bed. Regulus glanced at James, who's hazel eyes were looking back. James leaned forward, and captured Regulus' lips with his. Regulus deepened the kids, wrapping his arms around James. James gently bit Regulus' bottom lip. Regulus gasped, allowing James to explore his mouth. They fought for dominance. James won. He broke apart, and made his way down to Regulus' neck. Regulus' gasped when James bit down, forming a bruise. Suddenly, they heard voices coming up the steps. "James?" It was Remus and Sirius. "Shit!" James cursed. He quickly threw the cloak over Regulus. He had barely done that, when the door opened. Sirius and Remus walked in, holding hands. From underneath the cloak, Regulus could see everything. "Hey Jamie! What's-" Sirius stopped, noticing the look on James' face. Not to mention the fact that his hair was more messy than usual. Remus smirked. "I think we interrupted something Pads." Sirius grinned. "I take it she's under the invisibility cloak? Who is she Prongs? Is it Evans?" James was frozen in place. He couldn't even get a word out. Regulus watched in horror as Sirius felt around. He finally found the edge of the cloak. "Well, let's see who's under here!" Sirius ripped the cloak off, and his eyes widened. Remus mouth dropped open. Regulus stood there, in shock. He looked at James, who was at a loss for words. Sirius' looked at the hickey forming on Regulus' neck, to his partially unbuttoned shirt. His face was getting redder and redder by the minute. Sirius turned to James. He was furious. He dragged James to the other corner of the room. "I WAS RIGHT! YOU ARE DATING MY BROTHER!" James threw his hands up in exasperation. "We weren't at the time you asked." Sirius narrowed his eyes. "Then why didn't you two tell me? I'm his brother!" James rolled his eyes. "Because we knew you would act like this! And yes I know you're his brother, but that doesn't give you any power over him! He's allowed to date whoever he wants!" Remus looked over at Regulus and mouthed 'Our boyfriends are idiots' Regulus cracked the tiniest smile, then went back to watching the two most important people in his pathetic excuse of a life argue. Sirius and James were so angry, they were fighting like never before. "I don't intrude on yours and Remus' relationship, even though the three of us are best friends!" "Yeah! Well Regulus is my brother. You should have known that he's off limits." "You don't tell me what to do!" James snapped back. Sirius stepped forward, and shoved James back into a bed post. He then stormed out. Remus turned to Regulus and rolled his eyes again. "I better go calm him down." He left. Regulus rushed over to James, and helped him up. Once he made sure he was ok, and sat down on the edge of the bed, and broke down.
