Colin's pov

A frustrated exhale of oxygen escaped me as I sucked in another breath groaning softly.

"But I mean coooome oooon, like it couldn't be so hard? Right? I mean the show is probably rigged. They just want people with sappy stories, promote them and gain points with the audience to show emotional attachment. It's disgusting what people will do for popularity-".

Today was a lazy Sunday with the whole of the family sitting in the living room half heartedly watching an episode of Brooklyn 99 and listening to Jai rant about some reality show.

No one had the heart to interrupt him but he was becoming quite annoying with every passing second. Any minute now and one of us would explode on him.

Jai paused to take in a deep breath.

"You were talking for so long, I didn't even remember where I was sitting".

Everyone's eyes snapped towards Gabby who was sat in Kelsey's lap staring at Jai with wide blue eyes. Kelsey was braiding small locks in Gabby's hair and then joining them into one big braid at the side.

"Pfft" Jai scoffed in response before finally taking the hint as he shut up.

"Fucking hell I agree with munchkin, I think my ears fell off" Mack grumbled rubbing his ear for extra effect.

"Don't curse" Rachel said automatically in a monotone voice.

Gabby scrunched her eyebrows up at that.

"Why did nasties get invented if we aren't allowed to say them?".

"Because".

"Because?".

Rachel nodded absently, "Because".

"Ow, Kelseyyy that hurt" Gabby whined trying to pull her hair away from Kelsey who made a face apologizing.

"This is so boring" Calvin groaned from his perch on the loveseat.

"Tell me about it" Mack huffed standing up and stretching.

"I'm going to the gym" He mumbled before vacating the room and a few minutes later Stella could be heard being backed away from the driveway.

"Now what?" Calvin muttered.

"Now...OH MY GOD! I CAN FEEL THE BLAH SITTING BESIDE ME" Jai suddenly yelled startling everyone.

"The heck Jai?" Calvin shouted back angrily rubbing his ears.

"Nothing...I just. I feel like I might die from boredom".

"How can 7 people sit together in a room and be bored?" Kelsey asked no in particular patting Gabby who thought she was being asked the question.

"I don't know" She replied making an amused smile creep on Kelsey's face.

"And how do you not know?".

Gabby turned around on her lap and stared up at Kelsey as if she did just announced that she was the next Queen of England.

"I'm kind of little and my head doesn't have a lot of thoughts so I don't know," She told Kelsey in a mock-serious voice making Calvin snort.

"Whatever you say munchkin" Kelsey gently tugged on the braid making Gabby swat her hands away.

"Can we please just do SOMETHING?" Jai huffed waving his arms in the air dramatically and hitting Calvin in the face accidentally.

"Fudge off Jai" Calvin groused slapping the back of Jai's head. Hard.

"You fudge off" Jai yipped back punching Calvin's shoulder making him fall and hit his head against Gabby's leg who kicked him in the back with the small boots she was for some extremely weird reason wearing on the couch.
