"Come on guys, we have to get everything done by the night" I rushed from one room to the other carrying fresh laundry in my arms which I dumped in Jai's lap who was sat in the living room texting rapidly on his phone. He paused staring at the clothes as he locked his phone before looking up at me with a single raised eyebrow.
"Axel, bro why are you so-".
"Snappy? Hasty? Rushed? Acting crazy? Because Rachel's coming back and the least you lot can do is clean the house in honor of her coming back after five months" I cut him off running my hands through my messy hair and frowned. My hair had grown out a lot. I needed a haircut.
"Dudeeeeee, chill. It's just Rachel not the queen of England. She's known us since Cole was a baby. She knows what we are like" Jai rolled his eyes dumping the clean clothes on the couch beside him as he went back on his phone.
"See that's the thing. Now that we have Gabriella she believes we have changed, if not a lot then a little and a clean house might just-".
"Just what? Sway her opinion on us? That maybe we aren't greedy pigs who devour food shamelessly as if we have been starved for years? Who love mess more than those pigs in the sty at that one farm we went to last year? Dude, you can Tyr and clean this place up but how long do you think we would put up the pretense of us being changed into those really snotty good mannered kids? She isn't coming back for a few days, she's coming back for infinity now".

"Sorry bro but you have a whole army working in the other rooms, I think I'm good with sitting on this couch" Jai shook his head and I rolled my eyes walking away knowing talking to him was a waste of time.
"Where's Gabby?" I asked when I walked into the kitchen. Colin was scrubbing the floor with an extremely disgusting look on his face as if he couldn't believe how easy doing the chore but he couldn't exactly complain especially after the promise he made when we were adopting Gabby.
"I.don't.freaking.know" He snapped through gritted teeth and I grinned finding his disgust amusing as I walked around him to the sink to wash my hands.
""I'll do anything. I'll stop eating pizza if you want. I'll even eat those gross broccoli vegetables. I'll clean my room, do the laundry and wash your car just adopt her"" I reminded him in a sing-song voice remembering back to his words when he had tried to persuade me to adopt Gabby.
"Yeah, well there was no motion of cleaning our dirty kitchen floor" He complained.
"I'll do anything" I snickered as Gabby yelled down the stairs and Colin swore under his breath at me.
