This is in no one's point of view.
"Okay, okay, okay Rach! RACH! Listen to this one" Calvin pointed at Rachel with a licorice candy stick.
Rachel Devereux looked up from the Pumpkin & Pesto Crostini she was making for a late dinner, that is if the boys and Kelsey came back from the Halloween party and Gabby didn't overstuff herself with candy. Even now she was sitting on a chair with Jai swapping skittles and smarties with him. She made a face at Calvin who was partly drunk. Axel wasn't present so no wonder the boy had managed to smuggle a bottle of vodka into his room. Rachel knew that she would be waking up early the next morning to haul their asses from the party.
Perks of dating a guy with irresponsible younger siblings. Not.
"Yes, Calv?".
"Are any Halloween monsters good at math? No—unless you Count Dracula!" Calvin cackled and Rachel stared at him with her lips parted in disbelief.
"What? Come on that was fuuuuuuuunny" He said when noticing she wasn't joining in his mad hyena laughter.
"Okay that's enough bro, come on Cal" Mack approached the pair and dragged Calvin away shooting Rachel an apologetic look which she just waved away used to their antics. After all, she had known the boys since she was literally a kid and Colin hadn't even been born. A very long time.
Finishing her dish Rachel turned her attention to Gabby who now sat on Jai's lap and whispering something in his ears with her hands cupped around his ear. Rachel quickly whipped out her phone and snapped a few pictures.
"Okay chop-chop, Jai go and get ready for the party and Gabs stop eating everything sweet" Rachel leaned forwards and quickly snatched everything from the two leaving them pouting but then Gabby shrugged and took out a corn candy packet from her pocket and opened it offering some too much to Rachel's disbelief.
"Bree" She exclaimed in distress making the cheeky little girl giggle and Jai chuckle.
"You get the heck out of here" Rachel pointed at Jai, eyes blazing with sudden fury.
Jai quickly scuttled away not wanting to be the target of his brothers' girlfriend's wrath on Halloween. He already faced enough on other days.
Upstairs he chanced upon Mack and Calvin talking in hushed voices in the hallway with Kelsey standing between the two listening with rapt attention.
"Whatcha guys doing?" Jai asked, smiling in satisfaction when all three whipped around startled.
"Talking about Cal's irresponsible behavior and how to sneak him out before Axel finds him and grounds his ass to Jupiter" Mack supplied.
"The window?" Colin offered popping out of nowhere giving all four a good scare in his Dracula costume.
"He's drunk" Mack shot him a nasty glare making the younger boy shrug as Kelsey inspected his face.
"That doesn't look like lipstick or ketchup? Did ya cut yourself to make the blood seem real?".
Colin made a face at the blonde in the angel costume. The boy internally thought that she looked silly especially with the fuzzy halo headband on but who was he to comment.
"No, it's fake blood" He slapped her hand away which was inching closer to touch the blood on his face.
"Focus, right now the epitome of our conversation is Tootsie roll, not Colin's makeup" Mack hissed.
"Well just sneak him out when Axel's in the kitchen or his room. What's the big deal? Rach has already seen him and we all know she won't tell Axel" Jai sighed. Rachel never narced on them to Axel. He hated and loved it. According to her she only had that role when she married Axel. If she married him and before that, she would scold them but never complain to Axel. That is if isn't highly dangerous or serious.
